"I have been coming to this coffee shop every week and some times every day since it first opened. I am particularly fond of it. For years it has been the only place to get a decent coffee in Dorking. This however is no longer the case with the Dorking deli now doing better drinks and more interesting and wide ranging food. I believe it’s time for two many cooks to step up a gear. With Starbucks about to open in the town (yuk) some custom will gravitate there which is why it’s all the more important that all of the town’s independents work to outdo the competition. coffee making can be improved especially speed which is excruciatingly slow. coffee quality is good but not exceptional...a visit to the best in London would demonstrate what the next standard of attainment should aspire To the food is too predictable...more choice would be great, especially the cakes which are always the same. and the decor is getting dated...it’s a late 90s early ‘00 look which is fine but could captivate more. A loyal customer who wishes you well..."

The quality of the food and service we received is miles ahead of its competition within Dorking. Our only regret is not finding this place earlier during our stay in Surrey.

I judge a good cafe by its frothy coffee and crusty croissant. Both were perfect to my taste, the. Elissa then being crisp and crumbly and not soggy and chewy. Good WiFi and friendly environment. View menu

This charming coffee shop restaurant is a great spot for enjoying a nice cup of coffee and some tasty cakes. Although it can feel a bit crowded at times, it doesn't take away from the peaceful atmosphere.

This restaurant is a great spot for coffee and light bites. It's on the smaller side, so it's best to arrive early. The staff, who are young, are friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and definitely worth a try.

My Husband and I love to have a light lunch in Too Many Cooks whenever we are in Dorking. The coffee is always perfect and their homemade soups, salads and cakes are always very fresh, delicious and unusual flavours. We love it. View menu

We went to this restaurant for a light lunch and ordered two different types of quiches with a side salad and a cup of tea. Everything was excellent. The quiches had wonderful flavors and a light, flaky pastry. The only downside was the very small size of the rocket "side salad", which was more like a garnish. Overall, I would give it 4 stars out of 5.

I was disappointed after being charged £6.50 for a tiny bowl of carrot and a peppermint tea. I could understand if I was in London and the carrot had some meat in and the peppermint tea was aCoffee! The place is always over crowded and the options aren’t displayed in a user friendly way. The food gets written up onto a black board near the till area. Because the cafe is so small and there is usually a queue you don’t have time to read the options before someone is breathing down your neck asking what you want. In my opinion it’s over priced and over rated. Although they do a nice cappuccino.
