"a colleague has recommended nagoya. I'm not sure how to break it, but I'm disappointed. I had some Japanese foods, and I was always impressed, but not this time. I started with green tea and an ashanti dry beer. good. then came a wrong suppe that wanted me more. Next: a wooden floor with several shirr than set. first I tasted the sashimi. very good, although the salat was uninteresting and quite bitter. next I tasted the tempura fried fish: it was bland. hardly any taste of everything, although some pieces of raw tempura battery had a non-pleasant taste. a small salad with tomato and a yellowish dressing was quite good. Finally, the bark teriyaki: nice slices of bark, but the first pieces were so full gristle that I had to spit it out, and the rest was quite chewing. the best part of my meal was the beer. a few sitting next to me had sushi: they seemed to like her eating very much. Maybe I had sushi and not what I chose? the restaurant was half full. Nevertheless, no one asked if I liked to eat it, and they forgot that I had to pay until I made a show with my card. nagoya had some great reviews a few years ago. it seems to me that they have lost passion and work from habit, not to check that they serve quality. I hope they are able to refresh the passion as the menu promised some delicious dishes. I might be back."

It remind me a nice and lovely meals I had in Japan. I recommend to try virility of dishes Grilled Cod Fish, Chicken Gyoza, Nagoya Rolls and more. With a nice sweeter type of Sake it was just perfect.

consistently disappointing. unimpressive service: indifferentes eating: boring (going to dirty) environment. the place needs a wholesale transformation, but one has the impression that the owners cannot be disturbed. a great shame: it could be (and perhaps once was) so good.

I passed this restaurant many times I was surprised that it was always crowded. I finally decided to try it and was genuinely disappointed. The decor is old and not well-maintained. The service was extremely slow and the food was OK but certainly not special....There is no reason for a repeat visit. View menu

This is my second time visit. Once when I came to London few years ago but they were not..steady? but the food was still good. Now it is even better than previous. The cooked food was delizioso and i really liked the bento box. It...is a good selection and make you very full. As I am a big fan of Japan, I was very happy when the chef conversed with me in Japanese. Arigato gozaimashite for the experience

I cannot recommend this restaurant. too expensive for the under-average food they serve. eattokyo or tokyo diner in soho are much better options than this place. rude teamworkers have ordered incorrectly and made us responsible for it. it was surreal. I also found. a hair in my mistsuppe. the stairs to the toilets were covered in an old, dirty, sticky moquette: disgusting! from gents toilets from order and the toilet was dirty.

A hidden gem in the middle of all the fusion and factory made sushi. It's a very traditional restaurant with traditional, completely non-fancy food accompanied by lamenting Japanese opera singers wailing about their lost loves. I highly recommend the katsu jyu . Normally I avoid...pork as many places don't cook it well and ends up chewy dry. Season it with some Japanese chilli (shichimi) and a touch of their chilli oil. We finished off our meal with some yuzu ice cream which a rare find in London. Overall, nice service and food, and a good spot to escape away from the hubbub of Oxford Street. View menu

my friend booked a table here the night after Valentine's Day to avoid the mass on the feb and we thought it was really busy! we were the only people in there! a few came in and sat next to us, but a runner when the waiter left them with menus. I wish we had done the same. I can't believe how dirty this place was. the floor was so sticky and the toilets were lukewarm (which always makes me think what the kitchen is as if it were really overpriced for what it was. there was no atmosphere and the personal did not really speak. I and my friend whispered us when we felt so amusing. the only positive that can be taken away is that we still bring it up and laugh about how THAT valbines '

Such an amazing lunch for this price. Very big portion and we didn't even manage to finish it. The restaurant looks very professional and clean, service is one of the best, fast and friendly. It's better to prepare some cash, because the card machine didn't...work. Let's see how it will be the next time. But we will definitely come here more often. Thanks a lot for the delicious food!

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
