"We had lunch with our four children after visiting the nearby museum (and first tried the museum's restaurant). in this very typical French brewery, we were positively surprised by a very friendly and fast service, a family map (not common in france) and an absolutely delicious cuisine! our children would have licked the plates if we had not reminded them of the right ways. They each received a small sorbet for dessert. my husband and I loved our food - traditional for the calf of the region. we recommend: not desserts - they are absolutely delicious!"

"Half of the dishes on the map were no longer available, which cruelly limited our choice. the kirs with the aperitif were lacking freshness, the head of calf sauce gribiche was served without the sauce and the thigh of duck ordered by a colleague was not cooked. The cook came to explain to him that he opened duck thigh boxes, that he simply passed them to the grill and that he was sorry because he had not realized that one of the thighs was not cooked. Well, apart from that, our lunch was still correct, the service was good, quick and all these pictures of old movies and old actors make the decor very nice."

"It was our first visit to Courtepaille despite seeing the chain restaurant around everywhere, and we only came because we had a Groupon, which was lucky because it would have been a very pricey meal otherwise! The service was top-notch; we were seated straightaway and brought our menus. The open grill within the restaurant was right before our very eyes, so we knew just how long our food was taking to be prepared. Nothing was too troublesome for our wait staff; we asked for extra sauces and changed our minds, and they were very accommodating to all our requests. The ambiance was very rustic, and the chef working the grill would definitely provide entertainment for kids and adults alike. The food was pretty good; the steaks were done to our liking, and we could order whatever we wanted for the sides. We chose the green beans, ratatouille and baked potato with sour cream, so it was definitely a complete meal. I believe you can always ask for more if ever you're still hungry, but we certainly weren't. Overall, it was a decent meal, if slightly pricey for a chain restaurant."
