"Located on 29th Street Saraillerie, following Galante Street, the new ground restaurant is one of the many restaurants that have emerged this year in Avignon, for our pleasure! In fact, it is a trendy restaurant, both elegant and casual, but also offers an exotic and original cuisine, made with unusual combinations, quality ingredients and inspirations, all excellent! The 18 euro menu currently consists of a delicious dish with gingerbread goat tostadas, balsamic cream, lettuce and extra tapenade, then paper with pineapple, with a variety of very fragrant vegetables with many spices, also delicious, and finally a soft black chocolate covered with a physalis and served with homemade whipped cream and white chocolate ice cream. A real delight! There is also a menu 21.5 and another 30 Euros. At noon, there is even an 11E menu. A la carte, 12-15 euros per floor, 7 euros for desserts. The rations are abundant and relatively above the plates are beautiful, original and very well presented. The service is young, nice and friendly, even warm. In short, a good place to discover veeeeeery today!"

Excellent Sunday afternoon lunch! Well-prepared and tasty. The house white wine is very nice and quite inexepensive.

Great place to relax in the afternoon; quiet street, great cuisine. Only downside was that they didn’t had starters at 2pm.

A brief but delicious. menu. Perfectly sized portions. Gentle and professional service. We opted for a table inside rather than the terrace: too hot for lunch outside since it is in direct sunlight. Owner and waiters made us feel welcomed straight away and immediately brought a bowl of water for our dog without being asked. Bravo! Excellent price as expected (around 90 euros for 3 people a la carte). Placed off the most tourisical streets, in a nice side street in the centre (5-10 min walking from main sites) View menu

This restaurant is certainly worth a visit, in a fairly modern atmosphere, jazz music, we discover new flavors that delight the palate Brice cook changes regularity and showed a lot of creativity, combining tradition and exotic flavors. And polenta with soy sauce and mushroom risotto shiitake or, my favorite is the foie gras kadaif (rainy fiddles), or a paved bull accompanied by a delicious gratined of puerro, but not like traditional stews. .. Hard to describe, but it's good... In fact, there is an Internet connection: [hidden link] And the address is Rue de la rue de la Saraillerie No Clothings as it is written above

New Ground is a slightly modern restaurant in the historic centre of Avignon. It has a small terrace, not as nice as that of the squares around as you are on a shopping street and spends enough people to go shopping. But the room is fine. There is a Provencal menu of 22 euros that includes a trout pate to the handle, a dish of roasted rabbit with vanilla, and a dessert of clementine and rose cake. It is very original and the dishes come well presented. There are people who do not appreciate the strange flavors, the mixture of sweet and salty, they will not like it. I recommend pechuga sticks with terryaki sauce and Chinese pasta.

"I'm a regular here, and I'm not the only one lol! This place is always packed, it's both a locals haunt and a place where well-advised tourists end up. I meet my friends here, I meet my colleagues here, I meet half the town here...And it draws out the locals every evening with good reasons! So, first off: Convenience. Just on the bank of the river, this place has it's own parking.Next, atmosphere: Clean shabby chic orientated decor, open central kitchen, usually pretty crowded, Italian chef.... This place has got the atmosphere where it should be for modern tasty Italian cuisine.Service: populated by hipster and punkette style waiters and waitresses, they might not be warm nor welcoming, but they polite and competent. The service is prompt and the wine suggestions correct.Food: my FAVOURITE part! I love Italian, and I just appreciate a place that does it right so much! Simple, clean, modern and tasty!Their pizzas are beyond a doubt the best in the region, special mention for the Bianca and the Cosi. Their pasta is mouth watering. But I always find the best on their menu to be their dish of the day (for example duck filet with apricots, tuna steak with Italian sauce, roast filet mignon...) and their veal schnitzel. In fact I am a regular to this place almost solely because of their veal schnitzel. Just gorgeous!Oh and their desserts.... Are just delicious, special mention for the raspberry-lemon-white chocolate parfait!Once again, this is not a budget eat-all-you-can low end pizzeria. The prices are midrange. But the cuisine is authentic and impeccable, the setting very pleasant, and it is definitely a place you will come back to after trying it once."
