"Last minute decision to go out for lunch led us to The Ardler Tavern. Just wish I could say all our last minute decisions were this good! From the moment we arrived (we hadn’t booked and it was busy) the young man behind the bar was attentive and helpful. Found us a table quickly and the young lady (also very attentive and helpful) brought us menus and showed us the specials. Food was ordered and brought out quickly. It was delicious and plenty on the plate too as well as being reasonably priced. We had all three courses, well we just about managed three courses, with only two minor disappointments from my personal pov the liver was delicious but needed gravy, or at least the offer of it, and the cocktails, whilst also delicious, were too small! The young man did say he would take the gravy suggestion back to the kitchen and they appreciated constructive comments. Anyhow, we will definitely be back but will ensure we book ahead next time. Can’t wait!"

"We popped in last evening for a superb evening meal. A varied selection of food on the menu and I started with Cullen Skink. It was amazing. Best I've had in years. It is my favourite.I had steak Ale pie as a main and it was a large portion. The Lamb shank looked huge. The others had fish and chips. All 6 of us said it was the best meal we had eaten in ages. All set in a beautiful open restaurant with fantastic views over the golf course. We will all be definitely be back.P.s. The staff are wonderful and adhering to all covid rules."

"Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and engaging host who took the time to chat with us. We ordered Chicken Pakora for starters, which was juicy and flavorful, with a delicious accompanying sauce. For mains, we enjoyed Chicken Karachi, Lamb Passanda, and Lamb Masala. The lamb dishes were cooked perfectly, showcasing the high quality and skills of the chefs. Our family had a wonderful time and have already recommended this fantastic Indian restaurant to friends."

"It 's been a while since I 've written a review on Tripadvisor, but after visiting The Delivino restaurant in Crieff it became clear to me that it was time to dust off my keyboard and write one. Myself, my partner and my in laws visited Crieff for the afternoon, travelling from Leslie, in Fife. We stopped a friendly looking passer by on the High Street and asked him if he could reccomend somewhere we could go for a nice lunch. Without hesitation, he advised us to go to The Delivino and pointed us in the general direction. We were so pleased he did. If I was to sum up the experience in a word, it would be 'perfection '. First we were warmly welcomed in and guided to a table of our choice. Next, perfectly timed, a waitress came over to us, first, to take a drinks order then shortly after to take a food order. It goes without saying, her attentiveness and timing was impeccable and she was very warm and friendly. On that note, let 's get onto the food. That word again perfection. The four of us were very pleased with our meals, they were all very tasty, well presented and cooked to absolute perfection. The service throughout was also perfect. A perfect amount of time was given to decide on drinks and menu items not too long, not too rushed. The waiters and waitresses glided around, always being available but never appearing to encroach on our peace and space and their manner was always warm, subtle and thoroughly focussed on the diners. As I said, if I was to sum it up in one word, the word would be 'perfection '. We will definitely return."

"When I travel south down the moterways, I stop off at my usual filling stations....but if I have more time Ive got some nice options in Moffat, Kirby Longsdale and Lancaster to name a few. When Im heading north, it usually Kinross Servicies for comfort break and a snack. But this trip north. my dughter decided to give The Court house a try. Thankfully she has the knack for picking great places. No booking, but they squeezed us in late lunch time. After a short wait in vestibule, we were shown to a table. Simple sour dough sandwiches, all freshly prepared were just what we needed to get us ready to continue our journey. Cant say anything more than they were great and kitchen staff know their job. Front of house were equally efficiant and Kinross is lucky to have this place on their doorstep. Will make time for this place in future journeys."

We had the freshest mussels as a sharing starter, could of eat more, they were so good,we both had burgers, which were really nice, but could of done with a side garnish of salad, the plate looked a bit bland, but otherwise very nice. Staff were all lovely very professional."

"A little gem , tasty food . Good coffee. Parking: Parked about 10 mins away , just off the high street. Free parking . Wheelchair accessibility: Access would be possible for wheelchair users, but maybe difficult because of the compact area , split level flooring . Toilet up a few steps and through the second dining area, which is narrow . Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"

"Any opportunity our family have, we take trips to Scotland, driving the 8 hours from Wales, knowing we will find a warm welcome everywhere we go. The hospitality of the Scots, together with spectacular scenery and great food make it well worth the journey. In all those years we have never felt unwelcome until we went into the Kirkstyle Inn, Dunning. It is obviously frequented by locals, a local place for local people. They were very busy and there were no tables available inside for dinner so we decided to go into their covered beer garden for drinks and pizza. There were occupied tables to our left and right, both having food, but when we went to order they told us they were not serving food outside. This obviously wasn’t true because everyone around us was eating, without a reservation. This upset the table next to us, so much so, that one of the diners went inside to fight our corner and ask why they wouldn’t serve us food. At that point some large lady came into the beer garden and said the food served outside had been a mistake but we could not have food. She was rude and belligerent. No apology for clearly only feeding favourite customers. We were definitely victimised here, for no reason I can think of. We didn’t make a fuss, just drank up and left. It was so nice of other customers to express their disappointment at how we were treated. I would never recommend this place to visitors. Go at your own risk! They clearly have a captive audience in a small village with no other pubs around. It’s sad they think as a result of their monopoly they can choose to be so dismissive of the people who provide their living. My background is hospitality, hotel management and I can honestly say the customers are our valued bread and butter, never a hindrance. For info we are a couple in our 60s (one celebrating his 60th) adult daughter and fiancé. So disappointing and clearly not the norm for this wonderful part of the world."

"Diverted to Auchterarder for a break from a long journey on the A9 and what a gem of a place this is! Its rare to find this sort of quality cafe nowadays and Cafe Kisa is obviously a very popular location place to meet for a meal or afternoon tea. Luckily there was a table free but if you plan to visit for any length of time on a Saturday it's probably best to reserve. There's an extensive food and drinks menu. The coffee, tea and cakes we had were excellent. Also great service and tables and floor were kept continously clean while we were there. Toilets were also spotless. Did not park opposite but in the main car park a short stroll away. It was free and despite being a peak season Saturday there were free spaces."

"Booked a table in advance, as I was planning to visit on a Sunday morning. Arrived at my booked time, no greeting from any of the numerous staff members. Waited until I was approached by a grey haired waitress who would be more at home on a parade ground it would seem. She seemed to think the best way to approach a customer was to bark “name?” at me before bothering to ask if I’d made a booking or not. She then casually wandered off, returning a few minutes later to ask my name again. Was shown a table, given a menu and within literally 2.5 mins of me sitting down, she was over asking for my order. I had to politely say that I wasn’t sure yet and could I have a few more minutes; she seemed to think it was ok to sigh and wander off again. Very odd behaviour indeed. I heard her berating another table of two for their audacity to assume they didn’t have to book, and how she’d need the table back in 45 mins or less. I ordered the small breakfast, and it was mediocre at best. Poached egg was hard all the way through, one measly veggie sausage which was tasteless and some veggie haggis that was bland and cold. Really not worth the price tag. I’ve no idea how this place is still in business. The extremely rude woman who is front of house seems to have a reputation for being awful, as read in other reviews. And the food is nothing to write about. Sadly I won’t be back, nor would I recommend Heaven Scent to anyone I like!"

"Free parking, but limited spaces available. The restaurant space is very outdated and I had an expensive cup of coffee with the worst tea I have ever had in order to check the temperature of the machine. Luckily, we were able to discreetly get rid of the drink without anyone noticing. I had a coffee that was mediocre at best, tasting like a bad cleaning solution. However, adding three sugars helped improve the taste slightly. The soft drinks were overpriced, but the crowd seemed to enjoy them. The £3.50 jumbo sausage and burger was disappointing, with a thin patty that tasted generic. More generous portions of chips would have been appreciated. I give this restaurant 3 stars mainly because I enjoyed watching the planes come and go. The atmosphere was lively, but it was disappointing to see employees openly smoking near the entrance. I won't be returning as there are better options nearby. This review reflects our honest opinion."

"If you find yourself in Dunkeld, be sure to visit the Country Bakery. The food is delicious and the staff is wonderful! During our lunch visit, we enjoyed a selection of sausage rolls, a broccoli and chicken pasty, and shared a mouthwatering toasted Italian chicken sandwich. It was so good that one of our friends couldn't resist getting one for themselves. We also picked out a variety of pastries to enjoy later on the coach, but unfortunately they were mistaken for trash and thrown away by our driver at our next stop. They looked too good to pass up though! Don't miss out on a visit to the Country Bakery - let them know the Americans sent you!"

"I'm sure the food at this restaurant would have been lovely, but unfortunately our experience was cut short due to the unfriendly owner who reminded us of Basil Fawlty. We were a multi-generational family of 7 celebrating our oldest grandson's acceptance to university. When we tried to order a beer for him, the waitress asked for proof of age and informed us of the policy not to serve alcohol to anyone under 18. Despite our explanation and legal information provided by my son, the owner refused to make an exception. His dismissive and rude attitude led us to leave and dine at the Courtyard across the road instead. The Courtyard accommodated us graciously and served us a fantastic meal. We will not be returning to the Waterfront, but will definitely visit Kenmore and the Courtyard in the future. The owner should consider being more friendly and accommodating towards customers, especially in a competitive hospitality industry."

"Based purely on the Google reviews because if you walk past the restaurant you would not be inclined to enter. Fortunately, we did this and we didn't regret it for a second (we did make a reservation in advance and it was necessary . The 2 room staff (or boss? were so super friendly that you felt good yourself. They were extremely helpful. Not to mention the food. Not hearing anyone complain: not mom, not son 1, not son 2, not daughter 3, not daughter 4 and certainly not dad. Starter of mussels (wow!! and then a pasta with capers and olives. A huge flavor bomb!!!! Ok, we're going to stop because my mouth is watering again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Having spent several days hiking and climbing in Glencoe we decided to drive along Loch Ness and then down from Inverness on our way back to England. It was early evening by the time we got to Perth so we looked for a suitable restaurant for dinner. Trip Advisor recommended Mae Ping so we decided to visit. Boy are we glad we did. The waiter was very helpful in explaining what our dietary requirements would allow and we selected a range of dishes for both starters and mains (having eaten camp food for three nights, we were hungry). The food took longer to arrive than I would normally expect (about half an hour) but once it came, we were in heaven. It was seriously good and then came the surprise. Often the starters are better than the mains, but it just kept getting better. We really enjoyed the food and if only we didn't live 350 miles away, would visit far more often. But for my next visit north of the border (spring 2024) I will find a way to justify passing through Perth in the evening."

"The staff were all very lovely *BUT* We went for the Sunday roast since it was Sunday and unfortunately were very disappointed. It was £16 a plate, we got 1 roast potatoe in half, half a carrot in quarters, a small portion of cabbage (not quite dessert spoon sized) and a small/medium chicken breast with not enough gravy. There was also something called scurly but we didn't care for it. As I say the staff were wonderful and perhaps the other food would have been worth our time. But their Sunday lunch needs a lot of work, especially for £16."

"We went as a family, last minute get away. It was very quiet as we were there early with baby, the staff were lovely and welcoming can’t fault them. Food was awful not authentic at all. Pizza looked like it was from a take away my son didn’t finish it (unlike him) and my partners was dry with rocket and ham thrown on top. My chicken was placed on top of spaghetti that seemed out of a can, had two bites and left it. Very upset as bill was very high. Will not be returning."

"We were warmly greeted by a lovely young lady behind the bar, and it made a huge difference to our experience. She made us feel welcome and it was refreshing to see someone who clearly enjoys their job. The portion sizes were generous and we didn't feel like we were compromising on quantity. To top it off, our little dog Edie was also warmly welcomed, so we will definitely be returning soon."

"Stopped for takeaway coffee today and wasn’t impressed. Both the cappuccino and the caramel latte were quite milky tasting with very little coffee taste Quite disappointing. Response to owner’s reply firstly this is Google not Trip Advisor and secondly if you believe your coffee needs to be stirred before drinking then you should make customers aware rather than just handing it to them. The coffee definitely lacked flavour in my opinion (which is exactly what a review is my opinion). It might be an idea to remake the two drinks I’ve reviewed (as they were made for me), taste them then re read my original review, rather than going straight to a defensive reply"

"After driving past this hotel/restaurant a few times during our stay in this area, we decided to pop in to see if there was a table available for us and our two dogs. The staff were very friendly and showed us to a table outside. The service was excellent and food was great. Really enjoyed our time here and would definitely return."
