"We were extremely disappointed with our recent dining experience at this restaurant. Despite having enjoyed meals here in the past, this time was a letdown. The staff seemed to be trying their best, but something was missing. We were repeatedly told that a large order had just been placed, causing delays in getting our own order in. When we finally did order, there was only one special available as a starter. The pasta dish we ordered was not appetizing at all, with hard and chewy pasta that was lukewarm. My seafood platter consisted of smoked salmon, a mousse, prawn Marie rose, and what seemed to be cod bites, which did not meet expectations for a true seafood platter. The restaurant was only half full, yet we were seated in a random manner, missing out on the opportunity to enjoy the lovely conservatory. This visit did not live up to the high standards we had come to expect, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend dining here. This sentiment aligns with other recent reviews we have seen."

Food was very disappointing at lunch time not a good menu certainly didn’t seem homecooked. Worst of all no access for disabled. Not good value for money

Friendly helpful staff with a reasonable choice on lunch as well as dinner menu with specials that changed. Cask beer kept very which was a great plus as so many places only offered keg beer!

Came for early dinner before quiz night. Lovely table looking out over the Tay Valley. service friendly and efficient. Specials board available and all the food was excellent. Sea bream great- good sized portions. All freshly cooked obvious that the chef knows what they are doing. Definitely be back.

The food here was poor and overpriced. The bruschetta for starters was tasteless. The so called vegetable risotto was ordinary rice with a mean smattering of vegetables, mainly celery. The steaks were poorly cooked and very chewy and at £28 were a rip off. Calf cheeks are supposed to be melt in the mouth. The dish served was so dry and tough as to be inedible. We gave up on desserts.

Wonderful hotel just over bridge in Weem fantastic service friendly and also dog friendly food fabulous. Went for the Sunday roast which couldn’t fault all high standard and made to feel very welcome would highly recommend a visit if in the area. We have been 3 times and each time really enjoyed the meal and the friendly welcome whether sitting outside or in the restaurant the dogs were welcome as were we

We did the circular walk up to the Bunkhouse and back down where it ended at Ailean Chraggan. We were thirsty and hungry and wow were not disappointed at all. Excellent friendly service and the food was superb. We had the burger which came with hand cut fries and a lovely salad and a tuna sandwich again with a lovely salad with hand cut fries as a side. Everything was delicious and very tasty and no complaints at all. The service and staff were all excellent too. Can highly recommend.

We went to dinner there during our stay in Weem and had one of the most delicious meals ever. The quality and taste of the food were perfect. Even though we arrived late and the kitchen was about to close, the staff went above and beyond to serve us exceptional food. The waiters were all very attentive, extremely courteous, and made us feel very comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful dinner in a fantastic restaurant with lovely people. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to dine there and enjoy a perfect evening.

I ordered the bruschetta to start, which was honestly terrible. It was extremely hard and lacked oil and balsamic. When I tried to cut into it, it crumbled apart. The tomato, onion, and basil topping was tasty, but that's not what I paid £7.95 for. I mentioned this to the server when our plates were collected, and was told that it would be passed on. The Mediterranean vegetable risotto was mediocre, but my husband's burger was extremely bland – he said it was the worst burger he has ever had. The onion rings were good though. The service was fine, but we were so disappointed that we skipped dessert and couldn't wait to leave. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

"We stumbled across this place on the last night of a fortnight in Scotland and couldn 't be more glad that we did and that they had space. We were seated promptly (underneath the fan thankfully considering the heatwave), asked whether we 'd eaten there before (we hadn 't), had the menu explained to us (suggested 3 tapas per person) and then left alone briefly to consider the menu. Once ordered, drinks were delivered in a timely fashion, followed by breads dips to tempt tide us over until our tapas arrived. It wasn 't very quick, but I didn 't think it was unduly long either just the right length of time for non fast food that is being prepared freshly. And when it arrived, we were delighted as it was delicious! The only slight disappointment was that salted cod wasn 't available, but that was soon forgotten. My personal favourite was the poached chorizo in red wine with honey glaze, but we were happy with all of our options (patatas bravas, haggis balls, pinchas de pollo, spinach chickpea stew, haddock in red pepper sauce and Spanish tortilla the latter really made by the spicy tomato salsa on the side). 5 between the two of us would probably have sufficed, which would have meant I had space for one of the ice creams, but in hindsight, I 'm glad I didn 't. Excellent service, delicious food, our best meal of our holiday. We probably won 't be back (living in Birmingham and all) but definitely would if we were local."
