"We have already had two fantastic meals on our return to Kenmore.Although the menu is reduced from previously, the quality of food is excellent and there is a reasonable selection to choose from. My wife and I have both had the venison and stroganoff which with the smoked salmon and crayfish adds up to a delicious meal.Heather and all the staff are very attentive to all their customers and could not do more to make the dining experience one to savour. We are staying in Kenmore for another 12 days and will certainly go back many more times. It is unusual to find a restaurant of such quality in a holiday resort, but long may it cotinue"

Food was amazing, the lamb shank was to die for, falling off the bone! Deserts were amazing too, would highly recommend the crème brûlée. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly. They go above and beyond for you. We have been going here for over 10 years and have loved every visit.

This is the second time we have eaten here and have to say that not only were we made very welcome by all the staff, they were polite, friendly and attentive; The food is also excellent. I would highly recommend eating here, although you will have to book in advance as it does get booked up! Thank you for your excellent service. View menu

Unfortunately my review is not about food but rather the attitude of the person in charge of the restaurant. We tried to book for a family celebration 9 adults 5 children (after booking 3 cottages at the Kenmore Club); We were told we could not be accommodated due to shortage of staff. That’s fair enough but the manner and aggressive attitude of the manageress was disgraceful.

Booked the Waterfront Restaurant for a family members 40th birthday celebration. The service we received from the staff was first class and the quality of food served was excellent throughly enjoyed of experience at the Waterfront. Nothing was to much bother for staff. We also have to thank the young waitress (sorry we didn't get your name) who took time to come outside and take a family photograph for us which was greatly appreciated and an excellent photograph too.

We visited as were staying across the road at the Mains of Taymouth Estate. The views we thought would be stunning (which was the case) however the staff were so rude and abrupt to my family I would never return and certainly not recommend. We've never been made to feel so unwelcome and their attitude was appalling. The staff are an embarrassment to their trade. An awful experience. For reference the vast majority of my other reviews are 5 star for venues where customer service is paramount. View menu

3 times for dinner, staying the Kenmore Club. Fabulous staff, really attentive to detail, friendly, teamwork, and able to order off the menu requests without fuss (all credit to the Chef . Great choices of fresh fish, venison (gorgeous , beef stroganoff (gorgeous! and varies menu. Special mention to Chloe, who looked after us so beautifully, calm (it was busy and helpful, remembering what we had the night before, did not rush us. ALL of the staff were as helpful, and great teamwork going on. Don;t miss this place. Overlooking the Loch, and decking area really relaxing

We had a terrible experience here. The food and the service were awful. My friend had the slow roasted lamb shank. It was hard, definitely not falling off the bone and, as she described, inedible. I had the smoked salmon pasta which was tasteless. I needed to load it with salt and pepper to get any flavour at all. But the service was something else. We arrived at 7.30 and were hassled into placing an order asap. 5 times within a space of 10 mins was I approached to order. We felt rushed to eat as well. The cottages are gorgeous but give the restaurant a miss. The one across the road, the Courtyard, is a better option.

"We visited to see the Beatrix Potter Exhibition with family who were visiting and spent a lovely hour going around the exhibition, however our nice time was rudely interrupted by the elderly lady working in the cafe with dyed black curly hair. We have one child with serious allergies, so instead of one child feeling left out and risking cross exposure, we packed safe snacks for all the kids going anywhere with allergies is an absolute nightmare, so we always do this. Most places are trained and appreciative of how hard it is to eat out with allergens and happy to make reasonable adjustments for this. All four adults ate from the cafe. When part of our order was delivered, we were told “this isn’t a picnic area, you can’t eat your own food, you wouldn’t take food in to McDonald’s” (whilst looking at the 2 year old eating her snacks) when I responded yes I actually would, we have a child with allergies, she asked if it was serious allergies to which I said yes and she scoffed and left, no apology, nothing. I must add that whether the children would be eating or not, they would still have to sit at the table and take up the same amount of space. Would the children also be prevented from sitting because they didn’t buy from the cafe? Still waiting on my food order twenty minutes later and having already finished my coffee and frustrated at the wait, I asked for a refund as we now felt hurried to leave because of how upset she was at the children eating snacks at the table without purchasing them in their cafe. I got the refund for my missing meal and we left without going to the shop or seeing the other art, it has left a bad taste in my mouth. We spent just shy of £100 in the place and to be spoken to like that was horrible. The elderly employee with dyed black hair really needs some training on customer service and manners. The way she looked at us as we left was awful, we will not be returning. This place is not welcoming of children or those with allergies I dread to think how they would react to someone who is tube fed, probably told to eat outside just avoid."
