"This chain food place is off the main square. We went there only because my husband was lured there by their oysters. Be aware! There is tricky serving! Learn from our experience, always ask if you are not sure about the price/weight. Or you would fall into the trap as we did. ●Food: 1 My husband ordered a dozen oysters. Fresh with lemon.2 I ordered Div.Meeresfrüchte (fruit de mer/seafood salad) mentioned on the menu "100g 8.99€". So naturely I thought one dish would weigh 100g and I'd pay 8.99€ for that. It also turned out to be in a small plate. Of course the tall waiter didnt mention how they REALLY charge this dish. But when we paid the bill, it turned out to be 0.226kg*89.9€/kg, 20.23€. 3 No beer! Only wine or water. We had two small bottles of still water, it's 2.75€/bottle. It's Munich? No beer? Water is more expensive that good tasty beer? Very weird.● service: 1 very slow, we sat there more than 10 minutes cant get anything. I had to go get the menu by myself.2 Always double-check your change back. We paid 70.7€ for 60.67, the tall waiter didnt give us change, when we asked our change back, he said "Oh, I thought you gave me a tip." ● Price:Expensive, compared to what you actually got."

Wont bother again, The food looked like it had been on display for some time and definitely didn't taste fresh or much like fish at all.

Oysters on half shell were extremely fresh and excellent. Had the 1/2 large lobster tail that was grilled to perfection. Wife really enjoyed had the monk fish that was grilled. View menu

It is a great place if you want to have a lunch near the main train station. The furnishings are nothing special, but the food is fresh, with good selection of seafood. The price varies from 7-8 to 12 Euro per meal.

Read somewhere that a stop at Nordsee is a must in Germany. Like everything else in Germany, you can't fault the food, appearance of the facility or speed of service. But the food isn't worth a special stop. By all means go there if you are nearby, otherwise skip it.

Nordsee are a chain of seafood restaurants but the quality is very good you can have a lunch at the bar where staff cook in front of you or there is a self service section also very good, located in the market area which also has some excellent independent stalls/restaurant's a must go if in Munich View menu

Long time ago, on a student budget visiting Germany, I used to find a Nordsee and eat a sandwich there. I am surprised this time, when I saw their display of lobster and some giant sized prawns, how much they've upped their game. We had lobster (which they reheated on the grill) which was delicious and cucumber and potato salad that was refreshing. I'd be back to this or another Nordsee to try their prawns and Brat-herring which looked really good too. Their staff were very friendly.
