"We had delicious food here after visiting Whipsnade Zoo. This place has a lovely countryside style ambiance. 10oz Chargrilled Rib Eye (medium rare) 10 out of 10 The meat is juicy, and the portion size is quite generous. It's served with grilled tomato, onion rings, mushrooms, salad, and chips. Hunter's homemade Beef Lasagne 8 out of 10 The portion size is also sufficient, and it comes with salad, chips, and garlic bread. However, the beef lasagne is a bit too dry for my liking. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy drinks with friends or family and have a meal at a reasonable price."

I recently stayed at this great establishment with my wife and parents. From start to finish the owners and staff could not be more accommodating. The food was terrific and it was great to see that they were getting into the Halloween spirit! I would highly recommend this place to anyone Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value

Last minute find for a family lunch. What a find, beautiful Thatched public house. Warm, welcoming and cosy interior. Staff polite and helpful. We all had roast dinners which were plentiful and tasteful. Our 2yr old had a lovely varied menu to choose from and was vocal regarding his ice cream, That 's nice was repeated many times . A special thank you to Rachel, a charming lady. Highly recommend this Eatery and we shall return. Service: 5

"Ok so Ive been to Lumpini a few times now and have always enjoyed the food but on my most recent visit I wasn’t all that happy with the food or customer service. I took my two daughters who had never been before so they could experience something different. We ordered our starters which were nice, we then ordered our main and the waitress came to our table 3 times to confirm what rice we wanted which was a bit disorganised I thought. Any way the food came and I was happy enough but thought the curry consistency was a bit on the thin side And tasted less coconut than I remembered as though it had been watered down and it lacked enough salt as well which wasn’t a huge issue but there was no salt or pepper to hand on the table so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could of had there been some. My first daughter enjoyed her curry but the rice was disgusting in my opinion, it was spicy rice but it was more like spicy with half a bottle of oil and it was not cheap. My other daughter did not like the food at all and decided to leave her food. Thai is not for everyone. But the thing that bothered me was the lack of customer service really and the feeling that your a valued customer. On previous visits someone would always come over to ask if we needed anything and that the food was ok but this time there was nothing, even on the way out there was nobody to say goodbye and thank you for coming like there usually is and it may sound petty but all these little things add to the experience and make a difference to whether you would go back again. There was a couple of faces I didn’t recognise so maybe there is different people running the place then before but after this experience I won’t be rushing back as I was disappointed in more than 1 way and it’s not a cheap meal out"
