"We are frequent visitors to Venice and a local friend recommended this lovely osteria to us as a place locals tend to go and he was right. It's in Andrea of town less frequented by tourists which gives it a local flavor. We stopped by a few days in advance and the proprietor recommended we make reservations (Thursday night). There are two seatings 7 9 pm and 9pm close. There are some smaller tables in a back room but the main room has many long tables that can accommodate 6 people or they also seat two parties at the same table with a seat divider which is fine. Service was great and efficient. We had a nice bottle of Prosecco. We shared a delicious mixed seafood antipasti platter. Then one of us had the deep friend seafood and vegetable entree and the other had the ravioli with cheese and pancetta. Finished off the dinner with two scrumptious semifreddos. When we asked for our bill (Italians will not give you the bill until you ask for it), they gave us 2 limoncellos which was a nice touch."

L'Osteria Da Codroma non ha bisogno di recensioni perché si tratta di una delle osterie più antiche di Venezia e la sua fama è più che consolidata. Tuttavia, lasciatemi dire che mangiare da Codroma è un'esperienza che mi lascia sempre pienamente soddisfatta e con la voglia di tornarvi: le materie prime sono di ottima qualità, scelte con cura e amore da Nicola, il titolare, dopo un'attenta ricerca sul territorio e le pietanze sono elaborate nel rispetto della stagionalità dei prodotti (se prenotate in questo periodo vi raccomando i canestrelli, tipici della laguna di Venezia, e l'ottimo radicchio marinato, con la paprika dolce). La prelibatezza del cibo è accompagnata dall'atmosfera gioviale...
