"After several visits to this restaurant it is time to write a short review. When visiting friends in Malterdingen, we always make it a point to change our dietary habits, from Indian and SriLankan cuisine to Chinese or traditional German cuisine....The first impression of this restaurant is that the staff has no time for you. Typical for the Chinese, they find it very difficult to smile. I feel that most guests come to this restaurant as they earn money there. You can eat as much as you want, but the quality of food is nothing to write at home. Customers who are not used to find oral food very delicious. They have a wide range of products on display, but meat or fish is available, but very small quantities, hidden behind all vegetables and thick sauce. You can be sure that you can leave with a stomach full of so-called Chinese dishes. What the owners and employees have to learn is to know how to smile and be busy with their customers. You will definitely get your monies worth, but it's anything but typical Chinese. Excellent for families with children and with a small budget. "Eigentlich wae ich positiv gestimmt durch die Rezensionen. Leider wurde ich ziemlich enttäuscht. Die Bedienung hat den Eindruck gemacht dass sie ziemlich genervt war. Als Vorspeise hatten wir eine Suppe Tom Kha die wirklich gut war. Das Hauptgericht war Massamancurry mit Hühnchen und Gemüse. Leider war es komplett versalzen und die Kartoffeln waren noch sehr hart. Nachdem ich sie aufmerksam gemacht hatte, dass das Gericht sehr versalzen ist und gefragt habe ob evtl Kokosmilch das versalzene mildern könnte, weil ich nicht wollte dass es weg geschüttet wird, wurde zwar Kokosmilch gebracht aber sonst keine Beachtung geschenkt. Den Hauptgang konnte man leider trotz Kokosmilch nicht essen. Die Bedienung hat lieber selber zu Mittag gegessen und sich unterhalten statt sich um die Kundschaft zu kümmern, geschweige denn mal sich zu erkunden oder zu entschuldigen. Kann das Restaurant leider nicht weiter empfehlen."

"Me and my girfriend are often crossing the whole Germany from Poland to France (From Frankfurt nad odra / Slubice to Belfort). During this one day trip we like to have some stops in different cities, at least one to lunch or one to have a dinner. This time we decided randomly to visit a restaurant in the city of Emmendingen (north-east of Freiburg). Thanks to Tripadvisor we did choose one ot the best ranked restaurant (and still affordable). And then the choice was " Vielharmony ".On this sunday evening there was a lot of parked cars in the old city of Emmendingen where is located the restaurant. But still, it was rather easy to park close to the restaurant without paying. First of all, the hosts (either waitresses or owners) were very smily, pleasant, looking friendly at first sight. Then we did like the atmosphere of the restaurant. To be in this city, and in this restaurant, we felt something very peacefull, quiet, distressing. Well, we were very good here.About the choices : on this 23rd april it seems it was the time of Asparagus ! A lot of choices including this vegetable. There is not too much of choices in the card which sound rather good. We did choose the samethings : fishes on the grill with green salad, then as a desert a 'mousse' served with strawberries, then a hot chocolate, all this with as a drink : sparkling water. Free amuse bouche to start, quite nice, even if I can't describe this little thing.The fishes, 3 kind, were well cooked and tasty. Even if my girlfriend felt too much vinegar in the salad, but it's her own taste, because besides, for me it was very ok.Only bad point : the untasty tomatoes. In my opinion it's useless to put something untasty in the recipe. Either choose a good tomato, or do not include tomatoe in the recipe. But except this, it was very good.The dessert was very nice, I mean the especially this interesting mousse. Again : the strawberries were not that tasty, not similar to the tomatoe, but... close. I would say the same thing as for the tomatoe. But it did not destroy the desert. Good hot chocolate. It was rather quickly served, and in a pleasant way. One of the waitress (/owner ?) came to be sure all was ok. Of course, I did not mention the little deceptions about tomatoes/strawberries as it can be felt as agressive. And anyway, I think the cooks know the taste of the product of what they use. Finally the price is really fair. We paid 50 euros and some cents for both, and as overall we were happy we left a tip of 10%.We did really enjoy our time in Vielharmony, and we can only advice this place. By the way we had a little walk in the old city of Emmendingen, which is quite astonishing for us. It looks really nice and we have planned to have a short break other there to discover it."

"Die Portionen sind nichts für die "all you can eat" Fraktion (zum Glück!). Mit einer Vorspeise, einem ersten und zweiten Gang wird man aber angemessen satt, mit nur einem "zweiten Gang" ist noch etwas Luft. Ich hatte ein Filet mit Steinpilzen und Safrancreme, die geschmacklich etwas blaß umd für mich leicht unterwürzt wirkte, aber das Fleisch und die Pilze waren recht fein.Auf meine Frage, ob ich einen Rotwein dazu empfohlen bekommen könnte, bekam ich drei sehr feine Weine zum Probieren. Der von mir blind gewählte war ein Primitivo mit einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.Das zum Salat gereichte Brot war lecker, aber die Krume, wie leider häufig bei Italienern neuerdings, für mich etwas zu kompakt und fast wattig.Aber das war eine Petitesse und ist natürlich im Wortsinne, Geschmackssache.Hier komme ich gerne wieder, auch weil die Atmosphäre nett und das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam ist."

"who dare not eat critique. my gypsy-steak ungodly, burned out of the bag, tastes after nothing, the burned meat has spoiled me the appetit. so went back. that, no apologies, in contrast is too unfriendly. the service came immediately with the bill. such a friendly curse from the local I never visit with security, not even when I starve."
