"The food at the restaurant was mediocre and it seemed like there was a lack of communication among the staff. Despite booking a cream tea for 2.30pm on the 30th, I had to remind them about it and was told there was no booking. The cream tea I received was underwhelming with a plain scone, dry jam, butter, and half-frozen cream. When I ordered the Thai Green Chicken curry for dinner on both nights, it was not what I expected. I raised this issue with the restaurant manager, who apologized and admitted that the chef should change the menu daily. Additionally, the Eton mess we ordered lacked meringue and consisted only of cream and frozen fruit. Overall, the food quality was disappointing compared to our previous stays at the hotel."

Very nice meal and lovely staff! Both lamb and steak were cooked as we requested.

Service was excellent and could not be faulted! The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Loved it and will definitely be dining here again!

I went to the QHotel in Crewe for my birthday in January and I’ve got to admit that I preferred the food there. The menu had a wider variety of options to choose from and it tasted better

I was highly disappointed with the afternoon tea at this restaurant. There were only a few sandwiches, a couple small pieces of cake, and a small scone. I was left feeling underwhelmed and would not recommend it. However, the red velvet tea was quite enjoyable.

The staff were great, however the venues interpretation of a crime brûlée was somewhat different!! A Biscuit base with a creamy cheese top, decorated with a fruit sorbet and some fresh raspberries?? Not quite a brûlée but the staff insisted that it was the restaurant’s interpretation of a brûlée. In mitigation we were not charged for it.

The table was set but was next to the bar in a dark room. with no other guests Staff were pleasant and allowed us to relocate to a table near the window. Service was prompt and hot drinks fine, However the sandwiches although fresh were basic, fillings egg, ham, cheese and tuna. The scones dry and small, Three cakes all tasted a bit stale Disappointing for a 60th birthday gift , No othe View menu

The restaurant experience at the hotel, from check-in to leaving, was excellent. The staff were polite and friendly, especially Ollie in the restaurant. He served us with a smile and was very polite. I believe the staff are the hotel's saving grace, as the prices for drinks were extremely high. This should be addressed, especially in the current economic climate. There were no special offers or deals on drinks or cocktails.

We were disappointed with the whole experience The afternoon tea was basically a rip off, Several menu options were unavailable from the al a carte dinner menu. The staff were amenable but inexperienced The breakfast buffet wasn’t very attractive, tea and coffee limited access. I’ve had better breakfast in Holiday inn express and not charged extra All in all I have the impression that uk hotels are trying to claw back lost revenue with higher prices and reduced quality and service.

"Bill came to £145 for two people. This is the third time we have been to Mr Lous to try their “famous” lobster deal where you get a bottle of champagne with any 2pb Lobster which is only on Fridays. Each time we have been they have had NO lobster! Food we did order was extremely overpriced, dry and unpleasant. Duck spring rolls £7 hardly had any meat in them, just stuffed with a load of Veg. Honey Chicken £18 was basically 8 chicken nuggets on a plate with NO Sauce! We had to share the sauce from another main. Prawn toast £14 was awful! It is basically one piece of toast stuffed with more than the usual amount of Prawns. It was dry and taste was overwhelming with the amount of prawns stuffed in there. King Dum Po Chicken £24 calamari £4 £28 total for a main without any rice or chips! You could tell they reduced the portion size just to add the Calamari. Portion was mainly veg with little meat. AGAIN! Tried to order drinks with the porter who brings food to the table which he said he’ll get a staff member to come over. 15 minutes later no one came. I had my meal with no drink. We was in the booth right next to the bar so I had to go up and order it myself. Cocktail took another 10 minutes to come. Drinks were overpriced due to the lack of complimentary champagne with the lobster which we called and was assured they would have on! . Service was extremely slow, waited 20 minutes to get a waiters attention to pay the bill. You could spot way off who the owner was as she was stomping around the restaurant piercing looks at the staff. The concept of this restaurant is amazing, But the delivery on service, food, affordability and customer service have been compromised by its former reputation which once held this establishment in such a high pedestal. Now, it seems it’s got more expensive without any improvement on its service. It is the kind of restaurant you try once just for experience, but retention of customers is defiantly an issue this restaurant faces. Restaurant itself was designed with a gorgeous interior with good lighting. But, I wouldn’t be deceived."
