"We went to The Parvin for an alternative family dinner. on Christmas Day. As a vegetarian, I should have realised that the £25 per head, buffet option was not good value for me personally as there was very limited choice of vegetarian dishes available and I should have ordered from the main menu and had freshly cooked food at a better price. I accept responsibility for not working that out but it would have been helpful if the waiter had brought this to my attention. To be fair, he did allow me to choose an additional veggie side dish to bulk up the abysmal buffet choice but I needn't have bothered as it was no better than the brussel sprout bhaji from the buffet. Did the chef honestly believe that this dish was a good idea? or was it some kind of Christmas joke? Overcooked brussel sprouts kept warm in a sauce all day are going to be sloppy and slimy which they were..........and this dish tasted every bit as bad as it looked. The meat-eaters in my party were equally disappointed in the turkey tikka masala which was their main dish option. I find it hard to believe that they had the cheek to serve any of the buffet dishes as part of a celebratory Christmas feast. The best thing about it was the rice which was fluffy and edible."

What can I say. Just a fantastic curry restaurant that does beautiful take aways, delivered. I'll go no where else the Parvin Haxby is the best of all.

Great meal out with family. Food was amazing, staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant looks amazing and has a good atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be back.

Can't go wrong with this favourite. The food is always so good, I usually go for a mixed grill. We often order takeaway too but the only downside being they can be a little slow to deliver.

In York for a footy weekend from Wrexham and I’ve had 2 takeaways in 3 days and I got to say it’s the best ever OMG amazing If your looking for a curry and your in the area Forget the rest this IS the best

The restaurant was bright , airy and clean with a nice ambiance. The staff very polite attentive and helpful I tried something different and was encouraged by waiter saying it was his favourite not too hot but very tasty ! The food was delicious plenty of it and I really enjoyed the sizzle mix starter followed by the chicken shashlik pilau rice with a keema naan absolutely delicious ! I would highly recommend a visit great value for money !

Having had several excellent takeaway meals from Parvin, we ordered some dishes at 6.15 p.m. on a Saturday evening for home delivery. The restaurant website gave 95 minutes as the time for delivery. Eventually, after a phone call, the food arrived, nearly an hour late. And it was cold. I understand the problems of driver shortages, but if the website had made it clear that it would take two-and-a-half hours to arrive we would have ordered earlier.
