"Chinese dim sum near Little Venice in England? Sign me up this is what London is all about! Having grown up in San Francisco where you can find dim sum places throughout the city, I find myself craving a little part of home every now and then in my adopted home of Germany. Let's just say that discovering Pearl Liang during my vacation to London has been the most authentic experience so far. Admittedly, the restaurant is a bit hard to get to, though it should be convenient if you want to plan a stroll by the canals on a nice day or work in the area. I immediately noticed the tastefully posh interior as soon as I walked in. (Thankfully, it wasn't indicative of the prices! I visited Pearl Liang twice: once for a weekend lunch and once for a weekday dim sum lunch. I'd recommend coming on a weekday not only is service quicker, but you can also order the 10 item dim sum platter for £12.80, which offers classics ranging from har gow to shu mai as well as a grapefruit and mango tapioca dessert. The dim sum was just as delicious as anything I could have ordered back home in San Francisco, and, well, pretty much the same price as well. Don't skip the noodles either! We also had the braised e fu noodles with seafood. Offering a slightly spicy kick, it was full of flavor and fish to boot."

Food is flat out mediocre and service is awful. Complete waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. So disappointed that we spent any money at this place.

Would have given this a 4 star if it had not been for the rudest waitress one can have. Impatient with our order. Condescending. Food was good and exceptionally fresh. Will come back for sure. Too bad about the experience with the waitress.

The restaurant offers an excellent selection of freshly prepared dim sum. The service is good and the quality of the food is great. It is not very crowded on a Saturday afternoon, and the atmosphere is more upscale than dim sum restaurants in London Chinatown.

The food was pretty good but the service was lackluster. I didn't get his name but he had white hair in a ponytail style. The server was very unmotivated, slow and seemed like he wanted to be elsewhere or something. We may be back but will request another server.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic! The pomegranate sweet and sour chicken was a standout dish, and the wasabi prawn dumplings were delicious as well. The service was top-notch, with plates cleared promptly and our glasses of tap water refilled as we enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was quiet and the restaurant had a classy and clean aesthetic.

This restaurant is a delightful surprise for dim sum lovers. I frequently enjoy dim sum and will definitely return to this place. I stopped by for a quick lunch and was pleased to discover such delicious food. I tried the prawn chives dumpling, egg tart, char sui cheung fun, and sticky rice in lotus leaf. The dumplings were so tasty that I ordered a second serving. The rice was flavorful and moist, and the egg tart was enjoyable. The cheung fun was decent, although I wasn't a fan of the char sui (bbq pork) as it didn't taste fresh. It's possible that the flavor and texture of the pork gets lost in this steamed dish. I would be willing to try a different filling next time. Overall, I highly r...

When we first walked in our expectations were high the place was beautiful and looked promising we were promptly told we only had 10 mins to order due to it being late so we quickly chose our dishes and than waited 45 min for our food. The food was ... to put it lightly not good . I ordered beef with chili sauce what I got was boiled beef swimming in oil water and chili it had no taste and was not good at all. My husband got the steak with honey sauce (I can't remember the names exactly and it tasted good but his portion was so small a toddler could eat it. We also got spring rolls that were so dry and tasteless a part of me feels because we came and hour before closing they rushed our food...

While visiting London, I was trying to grab lunch before boarding train. This restaurant happened to be right next to the Paddington station and I figured, instead of getting a pastry from Costa why not try something different? I was a little hesitant before going in because their front door looks a whole lot like PF Cheng, one or those Americanized Chinese food , but once I walked inside the restaurant I was consistently amazed by every little thing. 1. Fantastic decor, I haven 't seen a bathroom this nice ever since I landed. 2. Great menu. Lots of food choices, beautiful menu design. 3. I was served with hot Chinese tea 菊普 , not iced tap water. 4. The food price is wayyyyyyyyy lower tha...

Quality decor, suitable for business lunches and dinners (as we could tell during our visit where several dinner tables were comprised of after work groups. We started with an excellent bowl of lobster and puréed spinach soup, which had several big chunks of lobster and was a nice almost fusiony dish. Then ordered for our family the half Peking duck, which was well trimmed, moist and fresh and had plenty of thin pancakes and julienned cucumber and scallions. Also a silken tofu with crab and egg in a light white sauce...super fresh tofu and a gentle dish to cleanse the palate between duck bites. Finally, the seafood crispy noodles, which was a little light on seafood but otherwise excellent,...
