"It's a couple of years since we ate here but I remember having a very enjoyable meal. Pedro Olivar is well disguised from the outside but once entered it reveals a fine maritime and ship's deck interior. There is no disguising the fact that this is a seafood restaurant. It does serve meat but there seems little point coming to an establishment like this unless you intend to dine on the excellent selection of fish and shellfish. We rather predictably had shellfish to start and a fish main course to follow. Both were fresh and very fine. Desert, I suspect, was the standard Spanish affair. I had a digestive of patxaran and they left the bottle on the table for me to help myself a sure sign that they encounter few customers from Britain. The bill was on the steep side but that is to be expected with this level of seafood. If it was a little less expensive I would consider a five star rating. This is the kind of place that lets the ingredients do the talking. The menu is extensive but not particularly imaginative. The cooking skill lies in not screwing up quality raw material. We had a very good meal here. It's a serious restaurant and well worth visiting if you fancy something different in Valladolid."

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, and it was delicious. The portions were huge. We had rice with lobster in a thick broth, salad, and torta. Such an enjoyable meal!

Sopa de pescado y chipiron a la plancha: very generous portions and good fish! Muy special furnitures (like in an old boat! and staff very gentle that helped us in the choice! Nice sweet surprise at the end! View menu
