"I’m a big fan of PE and have visited and enjoyed their restaurants for as long as I can remember but this one was dreadful, easily the worst experience I’ve had anywhere in the country. The service was lacklustre to say the least, not rude by and means but very lethargic and inattentive delivering water jugs with no glasses, food without cutlery, basic stuff that really shouldn’t need asking for. The food for all 4 of us was very disappointing. The standard is always universal in my experience but this was plain and limp whether it was pasta, pizza or lasagna, all of it looked and tasted thrown together with little regard for quality. The evening was topped off by a loud altercation between one of the chef staff and a waiter who quite rightly walked out the back and never returned. Regardless of what the reason was for it, to be spoken to like that young man was by and aggressive chef simply isn’t acceptable, to do it in front of a busy restaurant at peak time on a Saturday evening with children present was extremely distasteful and certainly not something I’d expect. I will certainly not be returning to this particular branch of pizza express in a hurry."

A sub par visit with great service if under staffed. The food was reasonable but cold, it was very disappointing compared to other pizza express experiences

After driving 160 miles on our way to Bath turned away from a half empty Pizza Express because we hadn't booked. Ridiculous. Went next door to the Mexican and had a lovely meal

It was very busy so forgave the patchy service. However, my pizza that i have had for many years was not on menu z( Gardiniera) but they did make it for me. The pizza was like a biscuit, very hard and i did wonder if...

Came for lunch midweek and it was lovely. Service was excellent with a smile and our food was nicely cooked. Only downside was ,that our food took a while to arrive but it was busy and the place was full with families. We will definitely...

We've been here lots of times, as we love the food especially the dough balls! We came in December with another couple, and similar to Saturday (we came with our 5yo and baby) the food was great but the service is incredibly slow. It seems...

Visited Pizza Express Cribbs Causeway for a birthday lunch with my adult daughter. I asked for a table for two and was directed to a table right next to a really noisy family where the children were messing around, (I didn’t realise at the time,...

Stopped off at Cribbs Causeway on route home from holiday. Restaurant was virtually empty. Seated quickly and waitress took our order promptly, started out very well. The point that made this a poor review is the way they handled an error on their part. It...

Food usual Pizza Express standard; tasty good selection of choice. This particular Pizza Express does seem to get a lot of delivery requests and does seem to prioritise these over restaurant orders but we weren’t in a rush so didn’t bother us. Staff efficient...

Sadly Pizza Express, now owned by a Chinese holding company, has gone rapidly downhill over the past few years. Service at the Cribbs causeway branch was speedy and efficient; but that does not make up for the wretched quality of the base and toppings. Just 4 prawns on a pizza which claimed to feature them, and no discernible chicken in a so-called pollo offering. Prices have shot up a well. Very poor value. Great for kids, I suggest, but for adults who have either eaten in an authentic Italian restaurant in the UK or visited Italy this is a now a chain to avoid.

"We booked our family Xmas dinner there was very excited for it tbh , when we arrived the waitresses was friendly and amazing really good staff especially the young girl waiting our table , unfortunately when the food came was very disappointing I think my meat was lamb but the slices was so thin it almost seemed packet store bought again the carrots we had 3 slices very small and not even a quarter of a parsnip and a ball of something. That was mashed and the potatoes was simply lacking the gravy was nice aslo the condiments but then the desserts came and unfortunately followed suit with the sicky toffee pudding was obviously brought in and microwaved and hot held for a long time as there was a layer about the size of the top of my little finger that was hard and dried out basically and to top it off we let the waitress know some was orders with custard as it’s all pre ordered next thing we know the chef was at our table with her back up letting us know we was wrong untill we showed her the order form un professional tbh we was paying up to 30£ per person for this and from a table full of chefs and waitresses stand point never really do reviews but as it’s a lovely place thought needed to be said as a professional you need to hear the negatives to improve otherwise people will say it’s good and never return , bar staff front of house staff 10 out 0f 10 thou"
