"We arrived at this place without reservations after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and were very pleased. The restaurant was very busy, but still the owner managed to seat us. The food and service were very, very good. We had a bottle of local red wine...that was recommended, which was an excellent choice. Overall a very pleasant experience and despite the staff being very busy, we were well taken care of. The only negative comment is that at the beginning of the meal we were brought a basket of bread, accompanied with some very tasty spreads. We did not order these and they were presented as if they were part of the service. It wasn't until paying the bill that we were shown that there was a 5.80 Euros charge for something we didn't order or really want, but did enjoy at the time. Maybe this is the way things are done in Austria, but I still feel that we should have been given the choice. This was really only a small matter but it bothered me. Overall we had a very pleasant evening and highly recommend Pichlmaiers zum Herker."

The best place in the area. The restaurant is more suitable for special occasions, a very good level. not too expensive. Everything is very neat, fast, clean and tasty. The light pathos of the staff corresponds to the quality of the food. I recommend

that's a bit hidden. out of the way and pretty clear from the outside. but enter the gardens or rooms inside and they will know that they have a nice time. the kitchen is modern Austrian, with a constantly changing menu. with 14 people at our table everyone loved eating. the choices range from classic white carving to octopus. all excellent. the personal is good, not great yet, but no huge mistakes, and the dinning experience smoothes all the problems.

I definitely recommend going there if you are looking for a cosy setting, very attentive service and excellent Austrian cuisine. I took a German friend there and we spent a lovely evening there. We didn’t find it noisy at all and we liked how the...tables were placed well away from each other to give diners privacy. Everybody was friendly and welcoming and I will definitely return with friends and family. Happy to have found this gem in the 17th district. View menu

wonderful restaurant in a beautiful neighbourhood outside the city center. beautiful interieur and beautiful summer terrace. the service is really good, a great selection of local weeping and delicious Austrian cuisine reinvented with an original modern touch. the restaurant also has a children's zone that the children loved totally and most night spent there were literally absent. jolly and relaxing atmosphere is really special. expensive, but worth the money.

Starting from its perfect position at the tram terminus this was a wonderful evening of food, wine and friends. Some of us ate traditional I had the best tafelspitz ever and some had food that would have e been perfectly at home in...the most modern clean eating establishment. Others were somewhere in between, and we were all happy. They even manage to make schnitzel light and delicate so that you can fit it in after two other courses. The wine list is outstanding.

The restaurant is on the outskirts of the city centre but it's well worth the trip. Getting there is quite easy because even in the late hours the tram 43 goes every 10 minutes. The service is really nice. The waiter explained all the food...really well and recommended us a very good red wine. We had a wiener schnitzel and a Tafelspitz and both were amazing. Asparagus with quinoa as a starter was very tasty too. The number of items on the menu is quite small which only speaks for the restaurant. We really enjoyed our visit and would come back any time again! View menu

A very enjoyable dinner from start to finish. Pleasant ambiance of old and new, traditional and modern. The same goes for the food, a mixture of traditional Austrian dishes, creatively prepared with a nod to a healthier eating culture. Small menu, which is always a...good sign that the kitchen prepares everything from scratch. Wine selection includes some very decent Austrian vintages. Staff is efficient and very pleasant. My only issue was the table we were placed at. My dining partner is 97 years old and she was placed on a wooden chair rather than the more comfortable padded seating throughout the restaurant.

one of my worst outbreaks. the place is nice, but that's all. that was terrible. the famous vienna carving was very thin, low quality meeting in a thick brotbacke fried in butter and left fat. so much taste and smell of butter, it. covered all the contrary we sat. I had to open the window because of the intense smell of molten butter. all the others eat pretty poor. prices are very high, especially in terms of quality. a barkasse 19, a carving 21 euro. the service was extreeemmlly slow, and the waiter asked himself respiratiw if we type in the payment with the card included or if we leave it cash?? tu yours only please one and eat otherwise somwo!
