"Too many reasons NOT to eat here. Booked a table for 16:45. Arrived 16:49. Ordered within 10mins. Walked out after 45 mins of arriving. Why….: 1. Had to leave as we had to get to the local panto by 6pm and whilst us adults could probably shove a pizza down in 10min, it’s a massive ask for a 3 year old 2. Whilst my son and I were enjoying watching the chefs prepare food (he loves watching), one of the chefs decided to enjoy a piece of chocolate, then after putting the food in his mouth, continued with food preparation. 1) you probably shouldn’t be snacking in front of customers. 2) Maybe wash your hands?!?! Disgusting. I told the manager who said she’d speak to him, then she walked away!! Ummmmm. What?? It took me to tell the manager to tell him to wash his hands NOW, not later! Chef then rinsed his fingers for 2 seconds before continuing with food prep again. So this time, I told him. Again, a half effort of a hand wash so for sure no way were his hands clean. And the audacity of this guy to argue with me that he doesn’t need to wash his hands because he washes them every 20 minutes! Joker. All of the above is an entirely accurate fact based review of a disgraceful experience. Please message me privately if you’d like us to pay for the 4 kids dough balls consumed. Will not return and suggest food safety inspectors should!"

Lovely meal, friendly staff a bit noisy because of a child’s party in close proximity. Will be back though!

My son and I ate here early afternoon. The pizzas were really nice with a generous amount of toppings. Friendly staff too.

Ordered delivery through deliveroo and the food arrived cold. Not a bit warm. Even the cardboard was cold. How?? It must have been cold when it left the store. Completely unacceptable. I reviewed elsewhere and they told me to email, which I did only to not receive a response. I'm not sure what it's like in store but never order a delivery

We have ordered through Uber eats and I have to say it was the worst pizza what I ever had. Absolutely horrible! Cold, small, burnt, paid for extra olives and didn’t get them. Also ordered dough balls and it was missing from our delivery. We tried to contact them not possible at all, only answering machine, no emails nothing to reach them. Haven’t received call back from the manager how to proceed refund for missing items. Never again…

Took my mum for a birthday lunch and it was awful, we actually ended up leaving before actually eating! It was empty in there and service was so slow!! Mums pizza came out completely wrong, then told us they didn’t have the sides we ordered they could have told us at the time of ordering) and my lasagne came out frozen still and the stuff/ manager were awful! If that’s how they serve food when it’s so quiet god knows what it’s like when busy!! Never again!!!!

Ordered a pizza and drink deal cost £20 pizza came it was cold and they supplied wrong drink and the joke of a company deliveroo offered £4.83 for stone cold pizza and 10p for sending me the wrong drink because I should have opened the box in front of delivery driver and felt the cold pizza I did tell her the drink was wrong she said that's what they gave me so I would steer clear of both of these cowboy outfits who both seem to fit in well with each other just waiting to scam another unsuspecting honest person ordering food....

As a family we visited PE St.Albans last evening. On arrival the staff were chatting and just ignored us all. We waited for one and a half hours before receiving our pizza mains and when we said that the wait wasn’t fair with young children we were told by our fed up/grumpy server ‘well, we’re busy. On leaving … my wife pushed a wrong button on the cash machine and the girl actually rolled her eyes!!!! Yes the pizza was nice … but we will never go back there. Maybe the staff should be trained at PE Berkhamsted where the owner ‘could care less’. Absolutely unacceptable.

We visited as a large family group of 12. Our waitress was excellent and very patient, however food arrived rather haphazardly which I assume was due to the kitchen not cooking it all at the right time. Everyone was happy with their food when it arrived except for me. I ordered halloumi bites which had zero flavour and were very greasy, together with coleslaw which had what I can only assume was a low-fat dressing, absolutely revolting tasting of synthetic sweetener and very vinegary, plus dough balls which came with butter without even a hint of garlic. I didn't complain as our family visit was special and I didn't want to spoil the vibe, but I won't be visiting again. I've only visited one...

4 of us at Pizza Express in St Albans 6:30 Saturday. Waited 45 minutes for drinks and an hour for starters to arrive. When mains arrived one pizza was cold! One main course didn’t arrive at all and when we asked where it was Chicken Caesar salad they said they had no lettuce! Kitchen was chaotic far too much focus on servicing deliveroo etc (presumably because they are on financial penalties if they don’t get the orders out fast) all at the expense of the dine ins. No front of house management. 2 waiters were working like mad to try to keep the restaurant ticking over (not helped by the kitchen) while 2 others appeared to think you get paid for turning up but with no need to actually do anyt...

"Yammin-Yummy says. ... 5 stars ... also a rarely awarded- 'beezybonus'. . . now, where do I begin to begin with such an amazingly appealing selection of freshly prepared foods that one would naturally expect that, already cooked, sitting, waiting for the next hungry expected customers. this can sometimes cook up to 10-20-50mins before they are placed in front of them. not here. freshly cooked. now this beautiful example of a traditional 'fish chip love affair, established over generations of Friday nights, was beautifully designed to tell their mouth, tonge taste panties, please attach their belts, and then it is about them an incredible arbor ride. ... one who seems to go up just as once they decided what's going in their mouth first (at least the crispy tail end) begins their incredible journey up; as their eyebrows increase during thinking, omg that 's sooo different good, light, crispy teig as I've never tasted in my 37 years since the beginning in the food industry. And then I made the mistake of dipping my squid in the homemade tartaric acid sauce. that is when the 1st massive fear happened, as I thought, oh my days; the better then mean, re-entry, deeper, actually cure my wrist action, to ensure maximum absorption of this sweet/creamy/tart/caper filled taste, as I reached for a chip to accompany, strengthen the excellent experience I thought stupid would be a 'standard thing'. Now I took care of you like this, but I have seen on my chips a few each mouthful was an experience, depending on how I stacked the fork, hahahaha. the fish was so fresh that I was looking on my teller sand. ... to dedicate a joy to each chip. ... the muddy heaps, normally warmed, not microshaft to a mass-hotter-then-the-sun, went a tasty bite, and quickly also, for once. the lemon shattered haddock had to be tied to the plate, because this teig was so light that it almost raised to the deck. but as soon as this handmade tasty tartaric acid sauce meets, any responsible 'handler-of-the-fork', wants to make sure that its only trajectory can be swallowed in their waiting swallow. It was so good, I couldn't stand to leave a single diesel and with this tartaric acid sauce, which even made a bulky chip, was nothing left, I was ashamed to ask the cook the recipe for 'this sauce', as he made such a light oil-free beautiful teig. the staff is very attentive, courteous, with a beautiful large sitting area also. get yourself here quickly bungalows to make an ordinary experience, in an excellent exciting eating expedition into a court that we all know so well, but so different. ... enjoy."

"Ever since they opened, I 've been for family gatherings, social events and dates and every time it has not disappointed. The staff are always welcoming and have a positive attitude. They are attentive, happily explaining the menu and how food should be ordered making recommendations. The menu itself doesn 't overwhelm with choice and is perfect for those with all tastes. There are plenty of veggie options and the wine is impeccably selected. The food is absolutely delicious and very well presented. The quality is evident. The portion sizes are perfect and not just stomach fillers (e.g. excess bread or rice). Every bite feels worth it. Please be aware that this restaurant is about sharing and each dish is made for it. There are no 'courses '. It 's about ordering the dishes you want and they will arrive when ready. With all the above in mind, this does mean that the prices are on the higher end and with alcohol you can expect to spend around £40 per person if you also include desserts (which are also incredible, especially the Creme brûlée). This might seem expensive, but remember, it 's about the experience, not just the food! Tabure is worth every penny in my humble opinion. If it 's just the two of you and you 'd like something different with a significant other, I 'd highly suggest requesting seats at the chefs table over looking the charcoal grill! It 's amazing watching the chefs work their magic and adds so much to the experience that most restaurants don 't provide."
