"This review is not aimed directly at the serving staff in the restaurant. However there is a clear problem with the relatively new management in this branch. Firstly, the restaurant no longer let you bring pushchairs to the tables. With young babies under 1, this is totally inconvenient and not really acceptable. The manager is clear to highlight what you cannot do, but does not help or suggest what the solution is. They further inhibit and prevent proper wheelchair or pushchair access by only opening one panel of the glass front door and get huffy if you ask them to open it up fully. It's a passive way of basically saying we're no longer child friendly, or at least to those in wheelchairs. The restaurant expect you to leave pushchairs in the entrance area which is exposed and open to the street and left unattended so could leave open to theft. The second problem and new change, is that in order to boost sales, they have put too many tables in the restaurant. Tables too close together which is uncomfortable. At the back, there is a ramped walkway to the rear seating area. They've crammed so many tables in, if you get the cheap seats near this ramp, you basically get knocked by any customer or member of waiting staff as they pass you. Overall will now avoid this branch which is disappointing as it's our local."

My pal and I usually choose a Pizza Express to meet in as we both love the food. The vegan offerings are great, such a selection to choose from! Always leave full to brimming and vowing to eat the salad next visit, never do! Lovely staff and ambience.

Four of us popped in here around 8.30 Friday evening! Place was busy but managed to squeeze us in! Lovely waiter service… sat round the corner from the main bar. Starters and mains were simply delicious with no problems! Absolutely loved our visit here and highly recommend View menu

My experience at pizza express wasn't very welcoming on two occasions , it was clear there's hardly no staff against customers. It appears they had run out of alot stuff when asking on both experiences, also witnessed bookings being turned down with over an hour to go before closing time. I got the impression no one wanted to be there at all.

Best Pizza Express service I’ve seen: showed up on a busy Saturday around 6pm with over a dozen musician colleagues…they quickly assessed the situation (we needed to eat and get outta there pronto). They opened up a large back room for us and fed us all in record time. Excellent service and tasty pizza — including gluten free for those who needed it.

Another new owner, same problems. Very narrow minded. Must stick to the menu even if you want a minor change. The chef is there for 9 years and knows exactly what and how I like the food and he’s very talented but his hands are literally tied by the very unpleasant owner and (some) of his staff. First time EVER that I haven’t left a tip. Usually leave at least 15% tip View menu

The staff here are so rude. They messed up a deliveroo order. Blamed deliveroo and wouldn’t listen when I tried to explain. The person I spoke to on the phone had an attitude instantly and the manager who came on the phone afterwards had no people skills whatsoever and added fuel to the fire rather than pacify the situation. I have never had a good experience with this branch and this just added to a list of grievances. Avoid at all costs.

We visited this restaurant early one Saturday evening. Arrival seemed all okay, we ordered easily and the children's starters arrived no problem. However, things started to go wrong when a waitress cleared the children's starter plates away before they'd finished. Very swiftly thereafter the adult mains arrived, but no sign of the children's. We saw the children's food ready at the kitchen where it sat, ignored by the waiting staff for a good ten minutes. Only on approaching the kitchen myself did it get brought to the table.
