"We are fans of pizza express and usually go to Glasgow and receive excellent service. The man that served us in the Holyrood pizza express was obnoxious and rude, lots of huffing and puffing and dramatic gestures for routine requests. Downright poor customer care and bad manners. He made a mistake with my coffee and then expected me to accept it anyway. When I declined this, he had his usual rant and returned with the same coffee. I wouldn’t return to this branch because of the poor service from this individual. To add insult to injury, we had an automatic service charge added to our bill as we were a table of would not have chosen to tip!!!!"

Another above average Italian restaurant in the lower section of Edinburgh. We had the mushroom pizza and an order of the garlic bread. Both were above average. They have indoor and outdoor seating and are dog friendly. They don't have any draft beers but have a decent selection of about bottles or cans ranging from GBP per. View menu

There is a vegetarian restaurant right opposite (Henderson's Holyrood), but I was fried with a few omnivores eating pizza, so we had lunch here. You have a separate vegan menu with quite many vegan options. I had the Leggera Vegan Roasted Veg Pizza and I must admit it was delicious and fill a really original combination of pizza and salad. However, that Leggera dough was quite unusual for my more traditional taste when it comes to pizza dough.

Such poor service. The server was aggressive and rude. I understand they were understaffed, but it's unforgivable to take it out on customers. Supervisor was full of the same excuses and no apology for plates being slammed or rude comments made to diners. It was so shocking, all my table could do is laugh. Waited two hours for food, one of us never recieved a drink and we were constantly reminded that it was our fault for coming on what would have otherwise been a quiet night's.
