"I was staying near the hotel and was looking for vegan options when I came across this little place on Happy Cow. There were no previous reviews, so I was unsure if they had vegan options. It turned out to be a classic British pub with one vegan option on the menu. I was pleased to see even one option as pubs like these rarely cater to vegans. I ordered the filled courgette rolls with roasted vegetables and found it delicious. They also had two vegan desserts, with the chocolate torte being particularly rich and tasty. The only downside was the limited options for vegans, which is why I am giving it a 4-star rating. The service was also great."

The food was average and overly salty. Two of the meals were served at different times than the rest. The waitress should improve on her politeness and appearance. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The bar staff were fantastic, Kite was especially helpful. I would definitely recommend the calamari, it was not chewy, just perfect. The only minor issue I noticed was that both fries were thin and overcooked. However, the overall experience was still worth a 5-star rating. View menu

Had a stunning Sunday roast lamb with all the trimmings! And cheese and bacon burger which was high, was visiting the area, they kindly squeezed us in on a busy late Sunday and couldn’t be more helpful and friendly! Food was amazing and plates were full, so was I by the end of the meal! Lovely pleasant place for a meal! Thanks so much!

Beautiful restaurant and great service. All staff are very polite. We visited with 2 toddlers and the huge garden space was a great, safe place for them to run around in. The small playground area was also a big hit with them. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lovely views and tasty food, highly recommend and we will be visiting again soon.

We went to lunch with a 2 for 1 offer before Christmas, not really knowing what to expect. Both of us agreed that it was the best steak we've had in a long time and the portions were generous. The staff was lovely and the overall dining experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially with the bonus of a beautiful landscape to enjoy. View menu

Went to the Feathers for the first time today for lunch. A really lovely pub. Staff were excellent. Prices very good especially considering how much many places have put prices up recently. I had the Cod And Chips. The fish was huge, lovely crispy batter. Great chips. Was absolutely stuffed after. My wife had Lasagne which was equally as good. An all round great lunch. Will certainly be coming back.

fantastic Christmas dinner in the plume yesterday! total amazing service, eating, atmosphere just perfect for us this year. we have never been on Christmas day for our dinner before, but after we went the best part of 4 months to the hospital, it seemed the best way to be together for all of us, but have time from Christmas ports. we wouldn't have asked for a better time she spent on a better place. Many thanks to all who have worked so hard and tirelessly to make our meal time fun there, gave us new memories for christmas time. thanks for not appearing enough for our day! we always love our visits there, but that was perfect!

"A slightly bizarre experience we were welcomed warmly, taken to our table, and given a menu for pre dinner drinks. No food menus were brought. We ordered drinks, which arrived, but still no menus! So we asked for them. No wine list brought. So we asked for one. All rather odd. The starters were mixed a bland crab risotto, a rather vinegary tartare, an excellent parfait and a crispy egg which needed to be runnier, but was tasty, if too salty. The odd service continued: three of the four of us had finished do the waiter cleared our plates including the one of our friend who hadn’t finished, who was left holding a cracker in her hand! The mains were again mixed and generally over salty. The ravioli were excellent; the steak good but in a sauce which was heavy handed on the seasoning, the fish pleasant, again slightly salty and verging on the overcooked. We had chocolate soufflé for pudding generally well made and tasty, but again the service was odd an ice cream was pushed into it at the table by the waiter which caused a good amount of soufflé to fall inelegantly onto the serving plate; the cheese plate was an interesting but small selection of well kept cheese. Good petit fours (though we were surprised that one containing nuts was offered to us all despite one of us not eating nuts, which we had mentioned). So probably four stars over all, but only just. It’s good to see the restaurant open again but based on this experience, while it’s fine dining, it’s got some way to go to reach the standard of cooking I’m sure they’d like to aspire to."
