"We dined here and had a real taste of Piemontese cuisine. Due to the large group we selected a fixed plate menu that included 5 antipasti, 2 pasta dishes, a second and a selection of dolce. All of the dishes were traditional including anchovies in tomato sauce, sliced veal with a tuna aioli, buttata a take on steak tartare), a vegetable stuffed pastry in a cheese fondant, gnocchi with browned butter and cheese, veal agniolotti, roast leg of lamb and a selection of dolce from the local area. A fantastic way to end our Italian adventure. A local favourite. You will not be disappointed!!"

Fantastic gnocchi and desert!! Visited with Dario the nephew of the owner. Great service. Lovely to see a typical Italian family celebrating their son's first birthday. Big family big celebration David

Location downtown of village of Busca Parking easy (big square at 200 feet) Staff polite and friendly. Menu good with an interesting choice of starters, pasta and meat. Pasta very good. Order agnolotti : home made. Wine list very good. Of course good list of local wines (Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Barolo). Cleanliness VERY GOOD Price correct for the restaurant. IN BRIEF: It is a good (family) restaurant. Good choice if you want to have a look on Piedmont 's cuisine. Good average of local wines.

Porta Maria is an unforgettable experience -we love our cozy warm room with balcony and we stayed for 5 days and did enjoy every single meals there. The dining room is beautiful settings and the service is great ,exceptional quality food with wine to match. Big thanks to chef Susi ,she did extra miles to satisfy our demanding appetite by making typical Piemontese dishes -Bagna Cauda Fato Misto exclusively for us. Both of them are beyond words. Just go! Grazie mille from Stefano and Sophia, we will be back soon : View menu

Honestly worth a side trip. Absolutely fabulous risotto and gnocchi. This is Piedmont, so try the beef tagliata with black rock salt from Cyprus. A unique example of traditional northern Italian food at it's very best. Very reasonable prices. A three course menu was on offer at 21 euros! Try to go there on an empty stomach as this hearty fare. My favourites are the first courses and the mains but dessert lovers won't be disappointed. Quick service, cozy decor... easily one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Worth multiple visits.

"I moved to Sicily 2 years ago and work in Palermo, choosing to live in Casteldaccia. I have eaten at cafe 113 5 times....and each time is the same. We are English, yet we do try to speak Italian....to be honest, we can point at a menu regardless of language! Yet, despite 3 men stood around, arms crossed and looking bored, it took a gentleman in jeans and a sweatshirt to come and take our order. We only ordered our wine after 30 minutes because we waved....the same when we wished to order food....no service skills whatsoever. Unfortunately, the food was not good. The risotto with king prawns and curry sauce had 3 prawns and a sauce that was only curry by the colour....no spice at all, and I like it fairly mild which means it was particularly poor!. The chicken, 2nd dish, was very fatty and definitely not chicken breast. The veal not the breaded one was very rare...which suits me....but extremely chewy. I left 3 quarters of my meal and by this point just wished to leave. No one asked how it was ok? Is the same in both languages! The real shame is that the venue is delightful. The menu is creative. However the service is appalling and the quality of the food did not live up to the descriptions. La Rotonda literally 1 minute walk around the corner is a much better experience and Snai caffe Vincendo next door have much friendlier staff if you just want a drink or snack. It is a shame...I have been here 2 years and will be here for many years yet....but I can find very little to say that is positive about this restaurant. I only return because I forget how much I disliked it the last time....I will not be making that mistake again."
