One of the popular pubs on the outskirts of Jarrow. More family orientated than others. A place very popular for the meals, probably 50 50 between people in for just a drink and those in to eat. Good selection on the menu and not expensive. View menu

Great customer service, with delicious food that was both affordable and high quality. It's a great spot to catch a game. The average price per person is between £10-20. The food, service, and atmosphere all scored a 5 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the Chick and Mix Challenge, Rump Steak and Chips, and Wings. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there is a free parking lot available.

We recently visited and ordered two chocolate and coconut tarts, which the staff served us in a friendly manner. The tarts were decadently rich and indulgent, and I would highly recommend them. I have also tried meals at another Greene King pub that offers the same menu, but unfortunately the main dishes didn't impress us. Been a few times over the past couple months for lunch and drinks. The quality of the food has deteriorated. First visit was great, 2nd time not so good, 3rd time they had no side salad, so we got the vegetable flatbread which had a lot less veg mix than previously not all ingredients stated on menu, Time after this the dressed side salad was just leaf with no dressing, (no cucumber, grilled red onion,courgette,pepper,Pico de gallo) our last visit just yesterday, the Coors was clearly watered down, the Nachos were the worst I've ever tasted, no melted cheese, the nacho cheese sauce looked to be curdled, no Pico de Gallo either.
