Food is excellent, quality, presentation and value for money. Choose from a la Carte, or from varied table d'hote.

During our three night stay at the hotel the meals in the restaurant were exceptionally tasty, beautifully presented and served by very attentive staff. Ten out of ten for all concerned. View menu

The seafood menu at this restaurant is reasonably priced and offers excellent options for all tastes and dietary requirements. Be sure to inform them in advance if you have any specific dietary needs.

The salmon was delicious, but the steak burger was disappointing. The dining room was pleasant, but unfortunately, it became crowded with a bus full of senior citizens on a tour, making it quite noisy.

We ate here 2 nights and also had a late lunch in the bar because of the weather. Good value for money. Some standard dishes, but also some surprising ones. I recomend the brushietta goat and the smoked haddock if you are into surprising tastes. Didn't try the deserts.

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
