"Terrible service this time round. Ordered over the phone for delivery, said 40 mins. 1 hour and half went by and still no food. We rang regards to see where our food was to be told by on the way in 10 mins and they will give us extra food for the late delivery. When food came, we had half of our food missing , no rice, chips or nann bread. Our balti had hardly any lamb in it, the chicken tikka was very watery more like soup. We rang up to explain we items missing from our order to be told we didn't order them , can we collect no one was able to collect, to then be told it will be another hour to drop chips etc off. Then we was told ok be 15 minutes and told we will have money back. To then be told the chips will be on the way. The phone got passed around the restaurant as they were making out they couldn't understand what we were saying. To then be told we were lying and didn't order the food again. Terrible customer service. Rude staff. We managed to get someone to go into the shop to be told money cannot be given to us nor food but a food voucher will be the only thing to give us. We definitely will not be eating here again. The food was not exactly cheap we paid £70 worth. Which is sad as the food is great when it turns up."

customers of 25 years, and not one single complain. beautiful family farm curry house, both aldridge and boldmere are equally good. sam, in particula, is a remarkable host, always happy to help and makes tour visit especially whether they are a regular or a first visit. highly recommended eating is as good as it becomes. and consistent that is rare for any restaurant.

I made an online reservation and it took an hour and a half for the food to arrive, even though the order stated it would take 60 minutes. When I called the restaurant, the staff was rude and told me to call back in 15 minutes. My husband called back and received more helpful information, and was told the food was on its way. When the food finally arrived, there was no apology for the delay. The curry was good, but the chips and naan were small and the pappadum was soft. Overall, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant. Price per person for dinner was £20-30. Food was rated a 3, while service was rated a 1.

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."
