"Had just been in BRENNERIE WEISS (PUB) and next door was this superb little pub selling REISSDORF BEER.Went in and the bar is really cool, typical German pub decor ,all wood ,that look's really nice. The waiter gave us 2 kolsch beers ,they were superb ,fresh and iced cold. The locals ,there were 4 or 5 in there were really freindly, and although we speak little German (from Liverpool) with their broken English had a great hour, even getting couple of beers bought for my twin and i,which was really nice.We got this group a round of drinks before we left, reluctantly,as we had a lot of sightseeing to do .This pub in our opinion has to be one of the friendliest pubs weve ever been in in Germany and were been many in many German towns and cities.Easy to locate in RUDOLFPLATZ on HAHNENSTRASSE.Opening hours are;Monday to Sunday, midday till midnight."

Went 3 times and we loved it. Great German cuisine, very friendly and welcoming. The schnitzel in peppercorn sauce was excellent. Thank you folks we really appreciated it very much.

Super delicious and beautiful service. I don't write many reviews, but this pub/restaurant really deserves it. The witch is just a poem. Please hold this... thanks for the nice evening.

friendly service and tasty reisdorf kölsch. also curry sausages with pommes and roulade were great. outside area, despite the location on the main road, quite cozy and quiet. we're coming back.

Not a clue where to eat in Cologne when we came across this restaurant and went in to escape the rain as well as to have something to eat. Had Schnitzel - one Wiener (€12.90) and one with delicious sauce all over, Paprika Schnitzel (€13.90). Soft drinks came in at €2.30. Both meals were delicious and we would eat here again. View menu

This is a great little Kölsch pub in a pretty easy location off Rudolfplatz. The staff is friendly and the patrons tend to be locals relaxing. Today a group of older gents sat at the bar speaking Kölsch. Didn't try the food, but the Reissdorf Kölsch was cold and good and the staff attentive. Would like to come back to try the food.

As an English speaker that knows only a few words in German, I could not have been made to feel more comfortable. Very good bier! Service was prompt and friendly. It is good to know that in kolsch bars, the biers keep coming until you tell them to stop or put your biermat ontop of the empty glass. We did not eat here, but the portions looked sizeable and appealing.

We went here for dinner with a recommendation from friends. Because of the weather we've chosen a table outside. It took pretty long before the waiter came to our table. We asked for an english menu, which he brought after 5-10 minutes. Also our drinks kept waiting. We've had the idea the waiter was a little bit annoyed by another group who was sitting outside. After the group left, he was very friendly. Almost a complete other person. The food was delicious and more than enough! View menu

We ate here a couple of times during our stay being at the end of the shopping area next to Rudolphplatz. We chose it because it seemed quite popular with locals as it was busy on the tables outside. Inside the first thing that hits you is the smell. It was the "Curry Wurst" which seemed to be the specialty dish. I have since found a recipe for the sauce on the internet. The decor and food is simple pub style. Quite friendly and busy with locals in the early evening. We both enjoyed this meal that we went back on the last day before we flew home for another!

We had a very mixed experience with this restaurant. I would recommend that you visit for the drink, with eating dinner as a more casual activity. The service is slow. The waitress was very busy refilling beer glasses and so it took about 15 minutes for her to tell me my meal selection was not available and a further 5 minutes to bring me another menu. She also brought me the wrong drink. While food does not seem to be their main concern, the re are some very tasty items on the menu. The appetisers and pan fried items are delicious, while the salads are very disappointing.

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
