"Went based on a Lonely Planet recommendation. It was busy, but we had arrived just after 6pm and had a table for four in less than 20 minutes. We placed our order soon after getting the table. While it was slow, we allowed for how busy the restaurant was. However, after more an hour wait, we noticed noticed that people who'd arrived after us were getting their food. Our German isn't sophisticated enough to fully express ourselves, but I approached the waitress and made it clear that it had been a long time since we ordered. She brought the bill, an incorrect bill even if we'd received our food. Mercifully, the table next to us head bilingual, and we explained the situation. At that point, we were brought a menu. Obviously, with two kids and over two hours at the restaurant, we had waited too long. Adding insult to injury, I paid the full bill. Even if I concede that the restaurant was busy and that service in Europe can be slower than one experience's in the US, this was the worse restaurant experience I've had in recent memory. We were told by the table next to us that the food was good, but we wouldn't know."

Good food (vegan, veggie, gluten-free no problem) in Mediterranean style. Service a little overworked, but super friendly to wait a little. We're coming back!

This was a sweet little restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and good ambiance. The food was enjoyable and the service was friendly. Some good vegetarian options.

Very cozy place in the middle of the town. Beautiful outdoor seating in a small yard and relaxed indoor seating with lots of space. The food was delicious. I can recommend the homemade gnocchi with figs and goat cheese and the vegetarian flammkuchen. The service was very nice. Perfect for a warm summer evening

The food is not bad, we ordered open whine. They charged us €25 instead of €10. We didn't agree, the waiter reacted very unfriendly. We advice: don't go there.

We came here because it is on Happycow, a site list places good for vegans (and vegetarians). The food was not bad and unlike what others say, the service was not slow, but oh the uncomfortable chairs! I was looking for and, fortunately, found a pillow otherwise had to get up! The hard surfaces meant that it was quite loud. We go back, but only when market views were closed.

We stumbled into Case Vita as we walked around beautiful Wernigerode in the waning sun. We were not interested in the run of the mill German restaurants around the square and tend to look for Italian restaurants when traveling. The restaurant is fun, eclectic, warm and inviting from the get go. It seems to have a bit of a Mexican and Mediterranean flare to some of its meals. We enjoyed a fabulous pizza and dinner salad to share as well as a nice local bottle of wine. Service was very helpful and nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

We visited Wernigerode on Wednesday and the city fluctuated with life. The Town Hall Square is full of restaurants, but we wanted another experience. So we looked for and found a cool little restaurant Casa Vita. Coming from the road, there is a stone paved walkway where you can sit and eat, there is whole place full of atmosphere, green trees, bushes and a water bassine with fish. Food is very good and the prices are very reasonable, especially compared to the selections and prices just 2 minutes around the corner at the town hall square. We dined, 2 adults and 2 children, for about 55 €. Nice and friendly staff, is recommended.

That was so bad! We ordered two lemonades that the server brought three and said this was what we ordered. He didn't light the candles. The cutlery was thrown on the table in a stack. My kids kicked out of a bag, so the nuggets. The soup was too strong and completely flat as if it was made from Boullion. The pasta with shrimp was just as bad. Dry parts of pasta and semi-dry tomatoes directly from the bowl. Unusable again. The steak was not grilled after me. The pepper sauce was not good, probably from essence and without texture. It was poured over the steak. Bad potatoes. All in all the worst meals ever consumed in a restaurant in our family. At least the servant reduces the price with 15%...

Wortlos. Die Kommunikation wurde auf das Minimalste reduziert. Herzlichkeit weit entfernt.
