"Well I finally got scammed in Zurich, it had to happen eventually, yes even in Switzerland. We ordered what looked like from a cursory look at the menu Paella for 2 people at a price of CHF 54 and a couple of drinks. The food was okie, nothing much to say about it really, seafood, rice and some veggies. The waiter showed us a pan with the Paella and then served us with the paella on 2 plates. When we received the bill, the total amount came to a whopping CHF 154. Obviously there was a mistake and we asked to see the menu again. When we closely examined the menu it said CHF 54 minimum for 2 people p.p.p. The way that we read that originally was that was the total price, however it 's obvious that the p.p.p was added to mislead people, as they 'd typically glance over it. Why do I call this a scam, well for 3 reasons. 1.The p.p.p is not something that your going to take much notice of, when hungry, with limited lighting at night and most people would glance over it as it 's an abbreviation. The part that most people would focus on, is the minimum 2 persons. 2.This is an outrageous price for a dish of 'normal ' paella. 3.The waiter was not willing to listen to my suggestion of changing the menu, to make it clearer to future customers. The food is poorly labelled so that they can capture tourists and charge them an outrageous price."

Service was very good: nice and friendly. Paella was delicious. Totally recommended. A bit pricy, but worth it. The place is very cozy

It is a must in Zurich. If you want the best paella in Switzerland, you need to go there. Impecable service, a lot of attention to the details, with a perfect service. View menu

Seit ewiger Zeit wieder Mal hier gewesen.

Also ja, bestimmt ni...

Alles in all...

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
