"restaurant michelangelo was a relatiw simple choice for my first night in eisenach, and this is due to an experience earlier in the week in prag, and it is just a few doors down from my hotel, the ascendant. I opened with a glass of...Chianti classico, something I didn't have for a very long time, and it was only suitable for this evening by finding that it would go with the pizza. I started with the minestone suppe, which was very warm – maybe even hot – and was very nice. it needed some salt and pepper because it came without too much taste. I have chosen pizza with prosecutor, ham and salami. it was a good pizza, and I would say more than enough for two, especially if they have my appetit. I would normally have taken half of it home, but since I'm not home, I pulled the hits from one half to the other half I ate. I have improved the taste a little with some olive oil and pfeffer, and while it would not arrange with the world, even Italians, great pizzas, it was pretty good, and if I were a native I could see myself quite often here. the restaurant was quite full and busy while I was there, and while the waiters were busy, the service was simply good, neither great nor bad. it was a very rewarding experience."

Great authentic italian restaurant with a wonderful terrace. The spicy salami is amazing. Staff are polite and service is very quick.

we have had so called italian food: sea food salad, calamares, fish and some pasta with truffles. We never ever will order it in this restaurant.

Dropped by while walking around Treffurt and was very pleased with the menu and food. The service was a bit gruff but the pizza was amazing and authentic.

the food was average. the service was simply slow or not existent. I was served vitello tonato as an appetizer. that was delicious. a pizza as a main course. wait for an hour. just waste time and money. the pizza was cold and missed taste.

We sat outside and it's okay, but the waiters are running like crazy. we ordered pizzas and one was okay, but the other was really bad. completely dry and bland! we shared the good and complained when the waiter broke out the tellers. we had a good bottle of wine and they were nice enough not to blame us for the bad pizza.

OK its a tourist spot but the food was very tasty and the staff were helpful even though its was busy the night we went, although one girl serving was more interested in her nail polish than looking to see if customers needed any thing,...which wouldn't of made much difference as she did have the memory of a gold fish as I had to ask three times for another wine. Overall it was very nice and has outside seating which is ideal for people watching.

They offered nice Italian food. However, they did not have enough staff on to deal with everyone in a timely manner. Our dishes did not come together, some drink orders were forgotten. However, it is central. It is from the Steigenberger Hotel if you...are staying there. They seem to be real Italians. When I tried to reserve a table in German, they needed to pass the telephone to people until I reached one that spoke enough German to answer my questions and make the reservation.

What is an Italian restaurant without Italian beer ? The Italian insalada di pomodori (tomato salad) was made like a greek salad with Feta cheese and chopped leek (who had been chopped some days ago) The Pizza Caprese was ordinary. Vital tonato was okay. Poor...service. The only plus was that we were sitting outside and that there were smoker and none smoker areas unfortunately were we not told by the waiter, so we, as none smoker, sat in smoking area, because all seat were taken in the none smoking area.
