"Best pub in the area. The hop union beers are gorgeous, there's locals aplenty, there's an oldstyle skittles alley at the back that can be used and the roast is amongst the best I've had. Have a sit on the walls and enjoy a beer there, you won't be disappointed"

Great atmosphere and staff. Unfortunately gristled gammon otherwise would have been full house. Will visit again

High quality roast with friendly service at a very reasonable price. Slightly disappointing to see that the only baby change is in the women’s toilet.

Nice pub. Lovely Sunday Roast and great staff. We sat outside (which wasn't a problem) because the music inside wasn't really our taste. The Hop Union Beer was lovely.

We shared a whitebait starter, which was fresh and delicious. We both ordered fish and chips. The fish was delicious, fresh and batter amazing, however, the chips were awful!

Had a pie on pie night. Chicken bacon and leek. Absolutely fabulous loads of filling scrumptious chips fabulous veg and amazing gravy. One of the best pies. Would like to have some blinds so you don't see the smokers outside.

Ten of us visited for a family dinner for my daughters 18th, fabulous food and great service, can't speak highly enough of the Sunday roast menu which was delicious. Great venue and value for money too. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic pub, great local ales (hop union formerly Great western brewery), good pub food, friendly locals and plenty of good dogs about too! Situated in the perfect position to be the start/middle/end of many a stunning south Gloucestershire walk!

"We booked our family Xmas dinner there was very excited for it tbh , when we arrived the waitresses was friendly and amazing really good staff especially the young girl waiting our table , unfortunately when the food came was very disappointing I think my meat was lamb but the slices was so thin it almost seemed packet store bought again the carrots we had 3 slices very small and not even a quarter of a parsnip and a ball of something. That was mashed and the potatoes was simply lacking the gravy was nice aslo the condiments but then the desserts came and unfortunately followed suit with the sicky toffee pudding was obviously brought in and microwaved and hot held for a long time as there was a layer about the size of the top of my little finger that was hard and dried out basically and to top it off we let the waitress know some was orders with custard as it’s all pre ordered next thing we know the chef was at our table with her back up letting us know we was wrong untill we showed her the order form un professional tbh we was paying up to 30£ per person for this and from a table full of chefs and waitresses stand point never really do reviews but as it’s a lovely place thought needed to be said as a professional you need to hear the negatives to improve otherwise people will say it’s good and never return , bar staff front of house staff 10 out 0f 10 thou"
