"We loved it so much that we would return tonight. The staff is very friendly and tried to translate very hard for us. There is even a menu written in English. The food was very delicious and there is a lot of choice for vegetarians. The wine is served in a literary carafe and is very cheap but very smooth. When I asked for a Limoncello to finish, they gave us a free one, although it wasn't even on the menu! Definitely recommended for vegetarians."

Nice Italian restaurant food was ok. Pizza's a little too thick for me. Some strange pasta and German merger courts. They do not pour the wine to the table, so only their word can take you what you have requested. Drinking took a while to get there. We had lunch at La Collina on Boxing Day and it was absolutely amazing. Friendly reception, fast and very nice service. Santa Claus also came by and really took his time at every table. Really great. We went to La Collina twice. The waiter recognized us on the second evening (although the place was full) and offered us the same table. The pizza on the first evening was a welcome change in a week of typical German foods; the pasta on the second evening was huge (a bit more spicy would have been welcome). There are not many Italian restaurants in Wernigerode, so you can choose these, do not hesitate: you will not be disappointed.
