"During our holiday journey to Oban, we stayed in Crainlarich for the night. We visited the Best Western Hotel for drinks and stopped by a local shop for supplies. The staff at both places were very friendly and helpful. Wanting to support local businesses, we decided to have dinner at a nearby pub. However, our experience was tainted by the rude behavior of the landlady towards another customer. She was condescending and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome. We were so put off by this treatment that we decided not to eat there. As a Scot, I apologize on her behalf as this is not reflective of our welcoming hospitality. I would advise anyone considering dining at this pub to save their money for a more deserving establishment."

Very casual and local with friendly staff and the best burger I have ever had (with cheese bacon) — fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion, and homemade relish.

A very welcome break after driving through the Lower Highlands. A very challenging drive, so very happy to come across this pub. Located by the Loch, stopped for some refreshments. Friendly staff, nice ambience,

Worst pub I have ever been in drunks at bar being loud and bigoted watching football. Then bar maid starts singing provocative songs Then 1 local leaves only to drive away in a car by the reaction of people at bar its what he does every visit. View menu

This restaurant is fantastic! We were a bit hesitant at first to learn it was the only dining option in town, but it turned out to be a great choice. The local food, especially the fish and chips, was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Whether you're looking for lunch, dinner, or just a quick drink or snack, this place is perfect.

Dinner on a road trip. Veggie burger and chips (only veggie option I think). Decent enough but nothing to rave about at least it was a traditional vegetarian patty not one of the new fake meat burgers. Good beers. Chatty staff. Bit lacking in atmosphere not many people in and the football on TV too noisy for something nobody seemed to be watching.

The location of the restaurant was beautiful, but the food was terrible and not very affordable. The fish and chips were greasy and the chips were not cooked properly. Unfortunately, the lady working behind the bar was unfriendly. Additionally, some of the tables near the bar were tilted due to the sloping floor, which was strange. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant. View menu

Stopped in for drinks on 2 nights dinner on the last night. The weather was good so we had drinks on the patio overlooking the road. Service was good a decent selection of beers. We had 2 tables of 4 people for dinner on the 3rd night we were staying locally the food was terrific the service outstanding. Highly recommend dinner here, but you can't book a table, so arrive early.

My boyfriend and I each had a burger and a pint there after a looooong day of walking. It was all decent enough, but: We both ended up getting SERIOUS food poisoning from that place! It ruined the rest of our West Highland Way walk and our holiday, we felt absolutely miserable for days. And when we sifted through this places worst reviews on Google we realized: We were not the first ones to have this happen! People are getting food poisining from their food again and again! It 's obvious that they do not properly cook/reheat their food. DO. NOT. EAT. THERE.
