"Sunday indulgence has hit a new level. My husband has been raving about their roast for ages, and I finally got to experience it, and WOW, he wasn’t exaggerating. The puffed pork crackling was an irresistible, salty prelude to a main event bursting with flavour. The pork was perfectly succulent, the beef melted in the mouth, and every element from the rich, sweet gravy to the expertly prepared veggies was sheer perfection. And dessert? A rich Apple and Cinnamon Tarte Tatin paired with creamy Roskillys vanilla ice cream and a crunchy, nutty hazelnut biscuit brittle. The perfect finale to an unforgettable lunch. Well done Chef Tomg Roskilly and team. If you're a Sunday roast lover, this is a MUST. Trust me, you’ll leave planning your next visit. It's also family friendly and has the best range of ice cream flavours, and you get to feed the animals, with wonderful walks nearby too. Win, win. Disappointed really very reduced service /offerings. Not very clearly signposted to outside activities. Looks like it's already been shut down for the season. Ice cream varieties were limited and not as I remembered having elsewhere. A shame as we were looking forward to our first visit to this site although we regularly visit Cornwall. We traveled five hours for our Cornish adventure, and on day one, we booked a roast at Roskilly's. I went for the meat option, which came with both beef and pork, while our friend had the nut roast. Honestly, mine was spot-on – the meat was tender, and the gravy was rich and full of flavor. I paired it with a smooth merlot, which was a cracking choice. The gravy was so good, we couldn’t resist drinking it straight from the jug – no regrets there! The place itself is beautiful, and the atmosphere was really welcoming. It was the perfect start to our trip. No complaints here – 10/10, would absolutely recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"The worst location and such a nuisance to get to. The photos of the accommodation does not look like the rooms. The shower is tiny. It is a child sized door you have to get through. The rooms were just ok, squeaky floor boards and no option for food unless they are hosting an event. Breakfast, they give you a form to fill out asking what you want, but it’s the same thing. Don’t bother asking for extras as you’re met with ‘ I have to see my stock.’ Really poor service. On arrival you get offered a drink, thinking aw how lovely it’s a free drink maybe, nope it’s definitely added to the bill at the end. Please don’t be fooled by the ‘lovely reviews’ as I genuinely feel they are not genuine. Parking is NOT available and you have to pay per day to park on the beach however, you can’t park on the beach overnight, so then you have to find somewhere else to go. For £135 per night, for ALL room types regardless of size and number of occupants. It isn’t worth it at all. The host Lou seems to make efforts in making her guests comfortable but is very patronising and makes you feel really small and if you try and complain, she comes back very defensive and tries to resolve with the least amount of effort. Definitely wouldn’t recommend or book here ever again. Rooms: Not with the £135 Food drinks: Nothing available, kitchen has been closed for ages. Breakfast you only get given what is given, no extras allowed! Noteworthy details: Horrible single track road to get there. Paid parking on the beach, but not permitted to park on beach overnight?
