"Update: September 2023. This used to be the best indian restaurant in South Shields, but sadly things have changed for the worst. Prices increased from £9.99 a head to £15.99 excluding expensive alcohol and soft drinks. Food quality is sadly no better than a microwave meal at Morrisons. Chicken breast is tasteless and bland. Rice is great as normal and bread sundries are still good. But dopaiza and other sauces, no kick, no deep fried onions in certain dishes. We would have been better going to a supermarket. The restaurant is clean, but no longer airy with over 7 waiters crowded round like busboys. Probably accounts for price rises. A decent chef and 4 waiters would be better for a small restaurant. Overall score 2 out of 5. Only the rice and bread saved them. What a shame."

Decor good. Housekeeping good. Service good. Food good well presented. Only downside was the table we had was cool. Don't know if other parts of the restaurant were warmer.

Wow, have been visiting Shields for years and never had a meal here. This will now be my go to place. The food was amazing, very nice staff and very reasonable prices. Really good night.
