Ruby Cantonese Chinese Take Away

About twenty of us went for a meal. We sat on round tables. Had such an enjoyable meal. An excellent variety. Great atmosphere and very attentive service. Can’t wait for a return visit. Thank you

Went to Ruby for Chinese New Year and had an absolute blast. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was amazing and all the staff were great. There was not one thing we did not enjoy, and we can't wait to return.

Just got back from celebrating my husbands birthday, Excellent service, lovely food, we had a set meal for 2 and there was plenty of variety. Good atmosphere even on a Monday night. Will definitely be going to this restaurant again.

Visited last night with 5 other people. We were well looked after from the time we arrived until we left. Starters were amazing and plentiful. Main courses were superb. We all left very satisfied and have rebooked for next month. All you can eat buffet at a great price. Thankyou

Awful place, avoid at all costs. Better off ordering food from somewhere you like. Poor utensils to eat your food. Starter never even turns up but they try and charge you for. And you need a mortgage to pay for your awful food and bad beer. Staying well away and warning others to do so also.

Ordered through just eat as my usual chinese was closed. food came fast and piping hot. Food was taste. Chips were quite oily but not the end of the world. Ordered a chicken chow mein and wasn’t put in the container the best way. The noddles were all at the bottom and the chicken and veg just put on top however, it was tasty.

We used to come to the Ruby many years ago and it was always a treat. Extensive menu, dished not served anywhere else, a real authentic Cantonese experience and a beautiful setting in the tucked away restaurant. I was excited to come again after many years but sadly it has changed so much. I guess covid really made them economise. The menu is just one laminated sheet with just the basics now. We ordered and it arrived within minutes. I 'm not sure my lamb was lamb...it didn 't taste like lamb. But it was edible. The food was fine, not complaining, but nothing special like it used to be.

Food tasted lovely, mains were a good amount. However the portions for the starters was tiny. Three pieces of tiny pawn toast, three tiny ribs ect for the three of us. Then when we asked for more pawn toast they again brought us three tiny pieces which we waited for around 20 minutes for, which I actually found quite insulting. The service was so slow and I can appreciate that it was a busy night however they seemed to forget about the tables they put around the corner and left to our own devices. However they could make an effort when what seemed to be a table of regulars came in, they then kept coming every few minutes to check on them but nobody else. We visited this restuarant with friends on a busy Saturday evening. We chose the all you can eat menu and had a selection of dishes to share. which was very reasonably priced for the food we received. The dishes were plentiful, fresh and tasty. We were a party of six and were in the front area of the restuarant and the table was probably designed for a party of four not six this was our ionly gripe. The seats in the main area wer circular and this probably would have been better for our party for space and have the luxury of food being placed on a Lazy Susan whisch is always great for larger parties.
