"We visited on Friday 9th August and were so dissapointed. We have been visiting this restaurant for years under its previous name of Nemos and always found it a pleasure. The location is so fabulous and I think the current owners are missing a trick. The menu is very limited, first option was unavailable. Ordered a steak pudding, steak and kidney pie, cheese and onion pudding and a cheese and bacon burger. The burger was enjoyed, but the pies/pudding were hideous. The quality was that of a supermarket value brand, and clearly microwaved making the pastry inedible. Chips tasted as if they had been left over and refried to heat them through. Peas so cold that the butter put on them wasn't melting. All in all not good value or good quality. Shall not be returning."

I went to this restaurant on Sunday with my wife and two kids. We really enjoyed the service, the food was fresh and delicious, and the prices were fair. We are looking forward to coming back again.

Fancied Fish and chips so, thought we would give Scott's another go. SO GLAD WE DID! The Plaice the Haddock were spot on. Chips perfect, as we're the mushy peas the gherkin. A world away from our first visit. KEEP IT UP SCOTT'S

I attended the lights festival along Lowestoft beach and decided to get some food and drink at Scott’s. There was a lovely new girl working yesterday (Saturday) who was left to do everything for the whole day. She had been there from 9am to 9pm with no break.

Was a shame smeller great outside the shop, the young girl that served was friendly and polite. But the the other two lady’s looked like they were running organised chaos! Ended up waiting over 30 mins from the point of ordering for a single fish and chips? Needs a bit of a better system in place ready for summer. Apart from that though the chips and fish were great!

Once we finally found 3 things on the menu that they actually had, it was mediocre at best. Fish was cooked perfect, but batter was gloopy. Claremont burger was ok. Steak and kidney pudding was tiny, better ones from Morrisons. Milk shakes were warm and served in dirty tin mugs. Tasted like Nesquik mixed in room temperature milk. Busy seafront, but empty restaurant should have warned us.

When the food finally arrived, it was disappointing. My steak and kidney pie and chips seemed to be a frozen, low-quality product that I certainly did not expect for £8. Similarly, my son's burger was extremely tough, and my partner's fish was decent but was served with freezing chips instead of the promised normal peas. Overall, it was a terrible experience, aside from the server who brought our food, as she was quite pleasant. Do not waste your money on overpriced, subpar food served by a less-than-friendly barmaid.

During the First Light Festival in Lowestoft I visited Scott’s at the pier with my step mother to see an overwhelmed young lady solely handling the customers by herself without any help! After speaking with the young lady, she said she was new and only began Friday only a day before the festival! This is absolutely disgusting to throw a staff member into this situation. Where were the rest of the staff? Amazingly, despite the poor girl clearly having no time to eat or drink, she remained positive and handled an extremely busy day superbly whilst also rationally handling complaints by customers to problems which were not her fault.
