"There was a time when we visited this restaurant on a weekly. About 20 years ago. We dropped in recently for dinner with friends...we´d heard it was still the best in the city. hhhmmm. Dread to think what the worst are like...most dishes were pretty tasty but frankly bore little resemblance to authentic Thai cuisine. The most basic of Thai seasonings were either used in minute quantities or not at all....our laab gai, well it wasn´t! it was a strange chicken salad...where were the thai herbs, fish sauce, chilis etc? the satay was in great chunks as were most other ingredients. Tl be fair the duck was crispy even if the sauce was bland. The beautiful presentation (fruit and veg carving, lovely little dishes, individual burners) we´d enjoyed in the past...also gone. Can only assume that they feel they´re catering to European tastes...sad, sad, sad. It´s easy enough to buy ALL the ingredients for preparing authentic Thai dishes in Cologne heaven only knows why they aren´t being used. Looks like it´s back to my own kitchen for our Thai food. Sigh."

The food is great, no doubt about that, but I guess the main advantage of this restaurant is the decoration and the cozy environment. The portions are huge and the waiter we got was very niceoh, and its open till late, we arrived for dinner after 23:00

Went here on a saturday night for wifes birthday, friendly prompt staff, the atmosphere is like being back in thailand. Food delisious and very plenty full we couldnt eat it all. Definately worth a visot if you like real thai food with good quality. Well priced food and drink. You can even get a chang thai beer

Good value for money, the restaurant is situated in a pretty insignificant street, but once you enter, you forget that you are in Germany and are surrounded by wicker furniture that convey a vague sense of Asian feeling. The menu really wide (too wide maybe?) but the food is good. Friendly staff as well. Only weird thing: the floor is somehow slippery.

After a hard day's shopping, we just wanted a tasty and satisfying evening meal. We knew of this place from years ago and tried it again - same as ever. Good service, really good food and reasonable prices. Please note that the dish of rice could feed two people, so be sure you arrive with a large appetite.Dishes we had: gang massaman pet (delicious sauce and great taste of sate), phat tahi gai (oodles of noodles). We visitded this place with my girlfriend in april 2016 and it was a great experience. This year the quality was equally high, and the staff was very friendly. The ambiance is cosy and traditional, the seats are very comfortable. The Gai Satee is served with a lovely mashed peanut sauce! The Pad Thai Gai was one of the best I had so far.The chicken soup and the fish in red curry sauce are also fantastic. This is our go-to Thai Place, when we visit cologne.Prepare some cash, they dont take credit cards! Prices are absolutely reasonable.

We were trying to find a Restaurant close to our Hotel and came across this little gem. We were able to walk in and get a table which was good as most of the other places were booked out due to Summer Carnival. The service was great and we were not rushed with the food. We had a break between appetisers and mains. We had the 4 share appetisers. There were four of us but a large amount of food. WOW. Then two mains and rice.We enjoyed all the flavours and the decor made us feel as if we were in Thailand and not Germany. I would recommend it to anyone after something a little different in Cologne.

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
