"The food is very pretty and the stand out dish of the evening was the beef which was perfection. Amuse bouche were a bit “safe”. A chicken consommé was well done but not special, a pice of battered chicken felt a bit out of place. The very pretty salmon mousse with a tiny bit of caviar was too mild in flavour to be that interesting. The wine list is very classic and expensive however there are some lovely offerings from Austria which was nice to see. The service was, i’m afraid, mis-judged. I dont think in principle you should keep stopping people’s conversation to have a lecture on the next course, especially as it is written on the menu. Then the crumb clearing (i counted 5 times) with a silver scraper. Being leant over fairly regularly to do something which perhaps needs to be done once in a meal if at all. All this fuss didn’t stop the staff completely ignoring two guests who arrived and were left for 25 minutes without a glass let alone anything to drink. The dining room is a bit airless which adds to the sense that they havent quite got things right. We disnt go mad with wine, given the prices on the wine list, but the bill for 5 was in excess of £1400. For that sort of cash I want top class food and service."

excellent creative cook that doesn't make any mistakes. every cure a joy. the pairings are contemplative and are not to be missed. service was perfect. round applause to the chef and the entire staff

To be honest, it was the best thing I ever had. I recommend the complete tasting menu. it just felt like it should be eaten in this order. they also get some wine or coffee to go with a few courses. it's expensive, but felt like it was really special. it felt like I had made a trip through Scottland, wales, Frankreich and england. 11/10

The booking system to secure a table at this restaurant is absolutely abhorrent. The fact that one can have NO communication what so ever with the restaurant is not acceptable. I had a booking for two that I wanted to change to three, which was only possible by cancelation of the existing booking and make a new booking. Which left one with an uncertainty of the new booking will be confirmed. We also left several voice messages on the restaurant's voice messaging system. The meal and service was wonderful and the staff really delightful, but the booking system needs lost and lots of attention.

It's been quite a few years since my last visit for lunch with family friends! I brought a friend who had never been because she wanted to try the pan-seared foie gras which was available on the Menu Gourmand menu. The service was really excellent; various staff were very attentive helpful. The ambience was lovely serene. Food presentations were really exquisite delicious except the consommé was a trifle on the salty side! We both absolutely loved the dessert apple tarte tatin with prune Armagnac ice cream scrumptious (we both didn't mind a refill We would certainly like to dine there again in future!

had the menu gourmand with signature weinflug (seven glasses for seven courses) which were both excellent. there were ten courses each of the attentive and friendly host (it would seem to call him a waiter) and sommelier, who went through the choice of wine and the reason for the choice. every cursor was presented beautifully with amazing aromen and ingredients and, while in portions sizes are obviously modest, with 7-10 curses that don't leave them hungry, it's not a cheap evening (over £400 for two with gourmand and wein) but an amazing experience for a special occasion. a beautiful evening with first class staff and eating.
