"If any readers are seeking a trip down memory lane, to revisit how English food was back in the this is your place. The menu is a motley mess of Italian, Lebanese, Indian and English cuisine. I ordered linguini with a vine tomato sauce....The pasta was horribly over-cooked, seemingly by as much as ten minutes, and it floated in an insipid red soup. On top was dumped a pile of cheese, which I think might have been cheddar. I managed to eat a quarter of it. My friend's artichoke risotto was possibly worse: pure stodge as he described it. The chef was hardly challenged on the day, as we were the only two people in the restaurant (which of course was a big clue we were only there as every other restaurant in the area was fully booked in this Christmas season). The waiter was good enough to ask how we enjoyed the food, and so we told him. He did offer to deduct one of the dishes from the bill, but it wasn't nearly enough to redeem this breathtakingly bad meal. He also said he would have a word with the chef about it; we suggested he might be do better to send him away for a cookery lesson."

the personal is fantastic and the eating was very good. I ate here three times during my stay to the breakfast and then once for dinner. really sad to see how quiet the amount was on the ground, but the staff was on the spot!

The freshly made to order breakfast was wonderful. The selection was quite good. They had a nice medley of fresh fruit daily and they had the most amazing home made jams (the strawberry one was very nice). The staff were kind and welcoming and they...really made breakfast enjoyable

We arrived late for a booking for dinner. The staff were very helpful were fine with our late arrival. A really warm welcome from the dining room staff, who although busy, found time to chat to us ensure we were happy. Food...was lovely, surroundings slightly old world, but very comfortable. All in all a lovely experience. Thank you View menu

I went to this restaurant with my Tastecard deal. I had the steak and it was perfectly cooked (medium rare). My friend had the artichoke risotto and it was amazing, very good portion too. The restaurant has a very warm feeling, there is a nice...fireplace and the back ground music is very relaxing and appropriate. The service was impeccable. I will eat there again.

that must be london's best afternoon! the ambiente is amazing, it is like in a dining room in a large old house, it does not feel like a hotel. it was packed so I was happy I had booked. the service was excellent. the fingersandwichsen, baked, scones etc. we have eaten well and enjoyed our afternoon very much. there is a fireplace illuminated in the winter months. it is a must that we stay there in the hotel leonard and have tee down every day in the afternoon on our next trip to london! Seymours is a lovely traditional dining room at the Leonard Hotel in Seymour Street, close by Marble Arch. It has very pleasant club atmosphere, is well decorated and has a profusion of old pictures on the walls. The food is well presented by the charming staff...in an oasis of quiet that seems miles away from the hubbub and traffic noise of nearby Oxford Street. If you like your dining experience to be one of civilised tranquility, Seymours is the place for you. We have enjoyed meals here in the past and would revisit the restaurant at any time in the future.

we have booked a table for a full night by tablepouncer, also called to confirm that the table was still there, as we were late for minutes and confirmed table was there. at the arrival no one welcomes you and feels like a pretty lonely. place we asked about our table and waiter then asked if we only ask what is included in the deal that we have booked with confirmation in the hand, the waiter reacted with we have no deal. we ask to speak with a manager who is the rude person at life and instead of understanding the situation he tells us we need to fight to get our money back? after we debate a dae and notice that the place was dead was likely from a reason that we decide to go. bad location...
