"came across this place by chance near metro Gambetta whilst trying to find a thai restaurant in Paris. This lovely family run place was very welcoming and served thai food in a french style.Everything was reasonably priced and very well cooked, there is a fantastic choice of wines, which are sold by the glass bottle or pichet. The ambience was very friendly its quite small with lots of tables close together in a rustic french old cafe style which we loved ,but may not suit everyone. Thanks To David who spoke excellent english and helped us with the menu...we plan to return next time in Paris but feel we may have to book a table as its bound to be popular judging by the number of good reviews."

Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Had a demi-carafe of wine, we each ate the 12 € menu. Loved everthing. Didn't notice that the desert was not in the menu, but still, all was good. Server was friendly and spoke English well.

We had a really nice dinner, the gentleman who was taking care of us was great, really funny and helpful. The food was really tasty and generous. everything was delicious. We had green curry shrimps and salmon tartar. Would love to go there again sometime.

We just had a wonderful dinner here and the waiters were very attentive. After asking some question about the wines, they let us taste the choice we had in mind, which was very kind. We all took a Formule , which allowed us to make any combination of starter, main dish, dessert or subsets thereof, for a good price. Each dish was a feast for our taste buds. We will certainly come back.

We stumbled across this busy little restaurant one lunch time and were very impressed by the excellent service and the quality of the reasonably priced food that was being served. Having lived in Thailand for several years, we really miss the cuisine and until now have never come across a restaurant outside Asia that produces such authentic Thai. We will definitely be back, it's a gem of a find!

A very good family style restaurant, L'echapee is an affordable and deliciously fresh place to eat. I went there twice as it is near my parents apartment. The service, the food, the prices were excellent. The portion are reasonable meaning not what they serve in the US. We had dessert and didn't leave hungry. The restaurant was very busy. You might want to book a table for dinner. There is a full bar with a full choice of alcoholic beverages and tropical fruit juices.

Dined with four before a concert at La Maroquinerie. The starters were excellent and were priced at about 8€50. Between us, we had the chicken satay, a salad, and shrimp on clementines; all were excellent. The mains ranged from from pad Thai to beef to scallops (13-19€ . The food came out hot, had excellent presentation, great Thai spice, and substantial portions. We did not have room for dessert. Although this is far from our appt., we will return even without a concert to attend. The ambiance inside the restaurant is very nice; however, the street is not great. For non-French speakers, the staff's English is quite limited but is just enough to get by.
