"Always of a good standard. Service very good. Waiters very customer focused apart from the cocktail bar staff who don’t come across quite as welcoming. Set meal for New Year’s Eve was a little disappointing. Starter platter was brilliant. Unfortunately something has happened to the butter chicken recipe and it was no where near as good as we’ve had before. The sweet could have done with being served warm in its entirety. Cold rice pudding is not normally the way we eat it. Left most of the sweet. All that said, def going back and ordering our favourite dishes. The place has been through a lot of changes. Mostly very good but need to keep an eye on the recipes and make sure any changes do not impact on quality as it did on the butter chicken on this visit. Keep up the good work!"

Lovely venue, there was singer on. Brilliant food and service but felt a little on the expensive side.

The restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere, but it was quite loud inside. The food was enjoyable, although the portion sizes were on the smaller side. Overall, it was a nice experience, but I felt it was a bit overpriced for what we got. One of the most frustrating aspects was being charged £5.98 for two glasses of sparkling water! View menu

We had a nice meal, and the staff were polite and friendly. However, the location of our table was a significant issue. As a couple, we found it challenging to converse due to the loud music and the constant flow of people in the bar. Additionally, two large parties nearby made it even harder for us to hear each other. The positioning of our table also seemed to result in less attentive service, as the staff was understandably focused on the larger groups. It's unfortunate that this overshadowed our evening, as we enjoy visiting this restaurant regularly.

I had previously enjoyed this restaurant, and as a family, we have spent a few hundred pounds here. However, this time the focus seemed to be more on takeout customers. It was difficult to get a response from the waitstaff; apparently, only three servers were working last night. The administration is seriously lacking and didn’t handle things well at all. To top it off, there was no coffee available—unbelievable! Additionally, the desserts I wanted weren’t available, but then I was told they were suddenly back in stock. It’s crucial for the restaurant to prioritize their customers! I’ll consider returning, but if I’m treated like I’m unimportant again, my next review will be very critical!

"Wow, what an amazing place for gluten-free food! This fish and chip shop is incredible, with exceptional customer service. My friend and I took our children to Drayton Manor last Saturday, and ended up staying later than planned. On our way home, we needed to find something to eat for both the kids and us, but since we are both gluten-free (coeliac), we knew it would be a challenge. I decided to search before leaving the park and found Oceans in Tamworth. It was only 8 minutes away and on the way to Nottingham, so we decided to give it a try. Despite getting a bit lost, we eventually found Oceans in a small shopping area and parked our car. When I asked if they still made gluten-free food, I was surprised by the owner's enthusiastic response. He was incredibly helpful and showed us their wide range of gluten-free options, as they had been making gluten-free food for 18 years. He provided me with a menu that included not only fish and chips, but also other delicious items like gravy, onion rings, lemon pepper fish, etc. He also showed me how they keep all gluten-free ingredients separate and clearly marked in the kitchen. While waiting for our order to be freshly cooked, he even gave us a sample of chips and gravy to try. The food was incredibly delicious, and it was the first time I had enjoyed fish and chips in 10 years! He also treated us to a taste of the delicious lemon pepper cod. As coeliacs, my friend and I also received a free bottle of gluten-free chip vinegar. I ordered a large cod and chips with gravy (which was so good that I wished I had just ordered that instead), and got a child's portion for my son."
