"I was extremely disappointed to see small quarter plates being used at the main course buffet instead of standard size plates at the restaurant. These small plates made it difficult to try more than two dishes at a time. When I inquired about this, I was informed that it was to reduce food wastage. However, providing guests with half-sized plates at a buffet restaurant goes against the principles of hospitality, convenience, and common courtesy. There are more polite ways to address food wastage without diminishing the dining experience. Furthermore, the quality of the food has declined, particularly the vegetarian main course curries which were not up to par."

They offer a good variety of dishes with options for vegetarians, which is rare at buffets. The student discount is a bonus. It is arguably the best Indian buffet in Derby now that Jimmy's has closed down.

Be sure to check your bills, as three out of three times they overcharged us. Once may have been a mistake, twice a coincidence, but three times out of three is something to consider. We will not be returning.

Slice of India is a fantastic spot for parties! They offer a wonderful selection of North Indian, Thai, and continental dishes. Their milkshakes, which can be found at the bar, are also delicious! Overall, I had a great experience at Slice of India.

The Asian cuisine at this restaurant is superb, with a mix of Chinese and English dishes. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness of the establishment and the friendly staff. I have visited multiple times, traveling from Sheffield, and have never had a negative experience.

I frequently go to this restaurant when I crave Indian food. It offers a great buffet with a wide variety of options, and the dessert is truly unique and delicious - something you can't find elsewhere in Britain. The atmosphere is wonderful, and I have many fond memories of this place.

Have just eaten here in Derby have come from Birmingham. Very impressed with the food buffet. Massive variety and tastes to suit. With a dessert section. Thank you also for the consideration made for my partner who is disabled. The manager sat us in a booth near the buffet. Good disabled parking. A very pleasurable experience. A double thumbs up from me and would certainly eat here again.

amazing selection of food, good quality. great value. eating is more traditional Indian, so they are not corma or tikka masala and the Indian food is quite hot. there are also good noodle options, grilled meat, pizza, chips etc. for non-currency lovers and desserts are quite fab for a buffet. even unlimited refills on softdrinks when the curry becomes too hot! the best buffet restaurant in derby by by far!

"My friend and I wanted somewhere different to go for some late lunch and so we decided on the Cosy Club. Although my friend had been once before a while back, it was my very first time visiting. As you walk in, you're greeted with an almost vintage-y feel and it's great! Old paintings upon the wall and retro furniture too, but that's not all. Ascending the stairs to the top, we got to the first bit of the club which is the bar area and what a fab area it is too, to relax and enjoy and Beveridge or two. Further down is where the restaurant is located and a lovely restaurant it is too. Very ornate with a fancy oldy-worldy vibe, almost like stepping back in time. The decor and glass chandeliers make for a very luxurious, almost palatial feel. The staff were really friendly and showed us to a table where after a short time of waiting, we had water poured for us before choosing what we'd like to eat and drink. I decided to go for the dirty chicken burger and I'm glad I did. The portion size was great, and there was plenty going on in the burger; the flavours were tantalising! Everything was cooked really well and tasted good (oh and the berry cider they have is certainly worth a try! After spending time enjoying our meal, we paid for the bill and were able to make our way, with our drinks, to the bar area to take a sit and enjoy the vibe further. I would certainly recommend the Cosy Club to anyone looking for something different, with a cool vibe and great food. Thank you to the staff for a pleasant and enjoyable visit, will certainly be returning! :"
