"I came here with a colleague on a business trip since it was close to our hotel. The menu has a split personality with plenty of German staples, such as CurryWurst and Schitzel, alongside more Italian fare, with a selection of pizzas and pasta dishes. This is not a tourist place, so there are no menus in various languages. Neither of our German was great, but the waitress spoke a little English and we got by. I ordered the double Schnitzel since the single was only €5 or so and I assumed it would be tiny. When the double Schnitzel arrived, it was huge, so I think the single would've been plenty! We both had a large meal and a couple of beers each so were very surprised when the bill arrived for only €34. At first I assumed there'd been some mistake. We sat outside since it was a nice evening, but there seemed to be lots of seating in the bar too. Outside was a projector screen showing a football match, but there was no sound so it was easy enough to ignore it if you weren't interested. I think there were TV screens inside too.The staff were friendly, the beer was excellent, and the food was good. All that with cheap prices too, I think I definitely picked the right place to come."

Was staying in the Leonardo Hotel close by, so went for a walk to find somewhere for dinner. Decided to give this place a try and were happy we did. Had nice food and some good cocktails, all of which were very reasonably priced and served by a very friendly waitress. Five stars.

Staying at a hotel around the corner and thought after passing by this place a couple of times I would give it a try. Nothing fancy or pretentious about the food but it was lovely. I had schnitzel with pomme frites and salad with a Heineken for around 8 euros. Total bargain. Nice venue and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Hard to beat a .5L beer for under 3 euro and Weiner Schnitzel for 5! Good portion for food, and prepared well.main part of the place is non-smoking with a smokers section...you get a lingering tinge of smoke hanging around (not bad, but if you don't smoke you know what I mean).Friendly staff, plenty of TV's, sorta dark, but not scary. Low key upscale dive bar ambience is what I think of.

Not a place to dress up for, drinks were fine but food took a long time to arrive, it was typical beer Keller food, with burgers, schnitzel, sausages and fries all served with green salad. Prices were very reasonable and the waitress was good fun...and a happy soul even though rushed off her feet as she was the only one serving about tables. Worth a visit if you want no frills food and drink

"we were initially april with our Greek course eating there. the weather was great, you could sit outside, but we had reserved in it because it was cool for this season in the evening. 8 people were put together in the corner at a table, although the neighbour was not occupied and no guests were sitting in this corner. we ordered several appetizers, including 2 plates for 2 people each. when we asked what was exactly on the plates on it, the energized answer came "of everything" which unfortunately was not true. it was a lot (but not everything) on it and it also tasted great part well.We ordered some other things so that everyone could taste everything. the tzatziki was either without garlic or with very little garlic. for a greek shameful bad. the zucchinibällchen were something sweetly fritted, which did not even taste like zucchini. the rest of the food tasted good. Now to the service: after our ordered food was brought to us, we were done/unregistered for the service. the waiter who served us at the beginning, we got no more too face for the rest of the evening. he rather sat in the introductory area with ancestral kinship to tell.Nobody asked if we needed anything else, no one asked if we wanted to drink something. When we wanted to get some bread, we had to shout 3x loud so that someone came. one of us ordered another 1/4 l of wine because he had to drive. 1/2 l wein was brought by a young waiter who did not understand a word German. Finally, a second waiter came in, who understood our complaint and brought the desired also quite fast. Conclusion: eating was the greatest part good, typical classic unfortunately bad, the operation a catastrophe. there are some creeps in carlsruhe that can know their menu and give away and are significantly better especially in matters service. I've never seen this grieche again."
