"Edible is about what I would call this......we knew going in that this was a spot in the most touristy part of the city but our first choice had been closed rebranded as an Indochine restaurant.....which meant no spätzle And we were craving spätzle The place was empty except for 2 other tables of tourists but they still managed to take more than 1 hour to bring our food out The noodles were over cooked, there was zero flavor it was almost as if the whole thing had come out of a Kraft Mac 'n Cheese box Won 't be back"

We stumbled into this beautiful German restaurant while visiting Heiderberger. Environment inside is beautiful. Very clean and nice bathrooms. Service is 5 star and food even better. Awesome and fresh soups and salads. Great experience and well worth the visit. View menu

We wanted typical German food and Zum Guldenen Schauf delivered. Healthy portions of decidedly unhealthy food but it's vacation, live a little. Everyone at our table had variations of Schnitzel (mit mushrooms, lemon etc. and all were quite delighted. Wash it down with one or two glasses of bier and go take a nap.

A little on the touristy side but still pretty outside in the biergarten. I got the dumpling plate with potato salad and regular salad and my husband got some pickled meat with fries. Both plates were good, not great. My husband came here thinking (and hoping) they had bone marrow but unfortunately it wasn't on the menu. Service was good!
