"It was the day after Easter and we were returning from a most enjoyable walk through the Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid. Our intention was to have lunch at Bodegas Rosell. (We were treated to a splendid lunch there during our trip to Spain the prior year. Unfortunately, it was still closed for Easter. So we walked around a little bit and settled on Restaurante Soria, a few blocks away, because it was packed with locals. No access to Trip Advisor reviews-just chance! What a great choice it turned out to be! We asked for a table outside on this sunny day. Immediately one was set up for us in the shade complete with a white table cloth. Our server, Contado, delighted us in every regard and was as excellent as the food. This is a Menu del Dia favorite amongst locals. It serves outstanding House Food or Casa Comida . Today, Constant Companion selected a bowl of Salmorejo, which is made with tomatoes, garlic, day old bread, salt and sherry vinegar. It is topped with diced hard boiled eggs and diced jamon serrano and served with crusty bread. (Since this exposure I have learned to make Salmorejo myself and it has become our favorite cold soup. CC ordered the Hake and a salad for an entree. We split one order of what was arguably the best cheese cake we have ever eaten. It was topped with strawberry sauce too. The size of our prior portions dictated that the dessert be split. I settled for a steak with fries, which was very good. Each of us had two drinks. Two Vino blanco for CC and two cerveza for me. The entire bill came to just 32 Euros. Now we have two excellent places near our favorite hotel to dine reasonably!!"

Es muy pequeño, y si vas a tomar algo a la hora de la comida, imposible al ser pequeño y la barra, te tienen mareado con tus consumiciones, para un lado y para otro, precios también altos, para donde están.

Our rental host recommended this place, otherwise I would have walked past. Drinks were well priced and the tapas were good too. They offer a two course meal for €11 and it was huge. My teenager was also impressed with thier burgers and at €4 with fries, dad was happy too.

Hemos comido y cenado en varias ocasiones aquí y muy bien. Personal simpático que ofrecen un servicio rápido. La comida esta buena y casera. Cambian el menú a diario así que perfecto. También ofrecen carta con bocadillos, tostas, raciones, etc. Precios económicos. Recomendable.

Bar de menús, raciones y bocadillos. Hemos ido a comer hoy domingo su menú por 13,5 con dos platos, bebida, pan, postre o café. Nos ha encantado : todo muy bueno, raciones grandes y variedad. Personal amable. El lugar es bastante humilde pero limpio y frecuentado por parejas de personas mayores y más jóvenes del barrio, trabajadores y viajeros de Atocha. Cerveza en vaso helado. Volveremos!!
