The menu offers a fantastic selection with options for everyone. The food was delicious and clearly made from fresh ingredients. The staff were delightful as well. Even though it takes us over an hour to get here, the journey is definitely worth it.

I have visited this restaurant several times while traveling and usually just stopped in for a quick drink. However, this time I decided to stay and have a meal. It is a fantastic traditional country pub that may be a bit isolated, but its focus on quality is evident.

we ate in the lounge bar, which was warm and welcoming. the homemade suppe was delicious and both main dishes were plentiful, beautifully presented and really delicious. the staff was friendly and helpful. some really original touches in the meal made it an evening to remember. we look forward to our next visit. The restaurant was empty when we visited, and I was put off by the cobweb on our table, which made it seem like the place hadn't been cleaned in a while. The food was decent, but the gammon steak was the strangest I've ever encountered. As for the tea, the serving was so hard that I doubt we would have been able to bite into it without risking our teeth!

The restaurant had a very quiet atmosphere since we were the only diners there. I was not pleased to find cobwebs on the table; it gave a rather unappealing impression, even though the table was set. The service was excellent; the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, we found the food to be only mediocre, and the portion sizes were on the smaller side. I ordered the lamb and my partner had the steak pie, and we both felt that the dishes were more heavy than meaty. After reading positive reviews before our visit, we had high expectations, but we ended up feeling a bit disappointed.
