"This is one of my favorite little towns in Germany, Maybe because my mother was born in a nearby town.I have family & friends in this town and nearby.When I visited on my other trips I have stayed at Hotel Post.Unfortunately when I tried to book it again, I discovered that Hotel Post was closed.Thank goodness for the Tourist Information office in Amorbach. A very helpful man, Patrik contacted me after I emailed the office and recommended Schmelzfanne Guesthaus. They have a website for the restaurant but there was no way to contact them for the lodging.Thanks to Patrik we were booked a very nice size & modern room.After we arrived we decided to have dinner here also and what a wonderful meal. The character and ambiance of this quaint & rustic Inn are just wonderful. They also provided a nice little breakfast of meats, cheese, bread, eggs ,coffee & juice in the morning in the restaurant.This is such a charming town and Guesthaus. I hope that I will be able to visit here again. I never tire of strolling the small streets, shops and visiting the two impressive churches located here.There is also a small chapel named Amorsbrunn that is a short but very enjoyable walk from townLoved my visit here !"

"There are 2 restaurants available at the hotel. The more exclusive (and more expensive) of the two is a Michelin star rated intimate diner with wood beams in the ceiling, tapestry covered chairs, and oil paintings on the walls. My husband and I ate there two nights as we wished to try both of their menus. There are 2 set menus and each one is offered as a 3 course for $79 euros or a 6 course for $119 Euros. The restaurant is extremely flexible and you can mix and match between the two menus or take fewer courses if you like. I had the 6 course one night featuring the most amazing venison with parsnip puree and a 5 course the next night from the other menu. My husband had both the 3 course meals and shared my other courses.The food is thoughtful and cooked beautifully. The combinations are amazing and created a harmony in the mouth. Desert was incredible! Best of all, the servers and atmosphere are very relaxed and not at all stuffy or snobby.There is also a great local wine selection with very reasonable prices.I'd eat there again in a heartbeat!"

"Toller Biergarten. Wir hatten die Spezialität des Hauses: Rinderleber . Und Wurstsalat. Was wir super fanden: obwohl es die Brotzeitkarte erst ab 17:00 gibt , haben wir auf Wunsch den Wurstsalat schon um 14:30 Uhr bekommen. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service. Das Essen bodenständig und sehr gut. Wir wohnen bald in der Nähe und werden mit Sicherheit hier öfter essen gehen"

"Sehr zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen auch auf Sonderwünsche wird wohlwollend eingegangen. Das Ambiente im Bahnhofsgebäude ist in dieser Form vermutlich einmalig und sehr gemütlich. Die Preise entsprechen den aktuellen Preisentwicklungen und sind m. M. n. für die gebotene Qualität gerechtfertigt."

"I ordered a delivery. My order was 2 hunters carvings with Pommes, Cola, pizza rolls, Mozzarella Caprese Salat. The Cola was not delivered. The Mozzarella Caprese Salat was a cut-out tomato with half a mozzarella on a mini iceberg salad bed with olives, the portion was a freche for 10.50. I can make the 20 shelves of money at home. The carving has cost and the part was okay, except the cans mushrooms. The other salad was also pure iceberg salad with 3 pieces of tomatoes, 2 pieces of cucumbers and olives. Nowhere were called olives in order. And it was unfortunately a long bright hair in the sauce. The worst were the 6 pizza rolls. And 3 cm tall. The delivery service was polite and nice. Unfortunately, I didn't hand out the Cola. For 45 € it was generally really disappointing."
