We have been coming to this restaurant for about 40 years now and it is still our favourite. Great staff and excellent food. We are no longer local but still come back for a meal whenever we are in Sussex.

Everyone in our group enjoyed different dishes just the right amount of spice and really good quality chicken tikka jalfrezi. Friendly, great service in this small restaurant that has been in Uckfield forever! Very affordable too.

We’ve been loyal customers for many years but are really sad to see that food quality has gone down markedly. Our take-away meals were merely average and lacking in character. Chicken was tough and tasteless. After many years of consistently good food and hard work by the owner, food is now bland, watery and poor value for money. We just hope that the owners return to good quality before it’s too late.

It was good to get back to our old normality by attending the nearby cinema with our familiar restaurant booking (here) afterwards. It seems to me that the old management has changed but don't worry. The service was just as good, as was the food. It was busy (it's a small restaurant) but we were warmly welcomed for our booked table. The menu has been updated and seems to have more variety so it meant a bit more familiarisation after a 2 year absence. The food was just as good, as were the drinks so I look forward to a renewed and continuing relationship. I also noticed an increase in takeaway/delivery services.

We had a takeaway. First time we’ve ordered online for delivery. I think this must have changed owners. I’ve been using this restaurant for 35 years. It’s always been reasonably priced and good quality. I ordered Vegetable Dhansak which was very hot and spicy, lacking the usual smoothness of a Dhansak it was also £3.20 more than it was on my old takeaway menu. My husband wanted Chicken Tikka Bhuna but that was not even available so he ordered just Chicken Bhuna. The meat was tough and it was £2 more expensive than Chicken Tikka Bhuna on the old menu. We will not be using this restaurant again. There are others in Uckfield that are more reasonable and better quality. View menu
