"I was in the area only because I was buying a car nearby and stopped here for lunch. It was such a lucky find. The team are friendly and knowledgeable and advised that their haddock was excellent. I don't normally go for haddock but tried it on their recommendation. The battered haddock was delicious. It was made to order, fresh and hot. The crispy batter was so light and not at all greasy. The fish was so fresh and sweet. Pricing for the fish is by weight. My large piece of haddock was under £7 and amazing value. The chips were good value and hot and tasty. My friend enjoyed their cheese and onion fried pancake. This is a real gem of a fish and chip shop. Please give it the custom it deserves. If I lived closer I would be back frequently: I will pop by when I'm next in the area."

Absolutely superb fish n chips ! Fish wrapped separately from chips so didn’t go soggy ! Fantastic crispy batter on gorgeous fresh fish !! Chips are next level !! Simply superb

I have never been to a better Fish and Chip shop than this one. Everything is cooked perfectly, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My family and I visit this restaurant every week or two for lunch, and it is always busy despite being a bit off the beaten path. They also sell sacks of potatoes during the winter months, which are top-notch as well. Don't hesitate to give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

I found out that this shop sold GF Fish and have thoroughly enjoyed a few meals over recent months. However, Friday 7th Jan 2022 was different. I tried to phone ahead to order GF but no reply on several occasions. I drove 8 miles to the shop and found myself in a long queue. Quite happy to wait my turn. After waiting 15 minutes to order, I asked an assistant for GF Cod. The shop owner, angrily commented that I don 't do Gluten Free between 5-8pm on a Friday . I can understand this but he then snapped I 've been clear about this, many times! I did not need to be spoken to like this. I then bough my meal elsewhere.
