"A group of friends visited here on Friday evening for pizzas, whilst the pizzas where very good we where left feeling disappointed as 2 of our party could order any alcohol from the bar despite being of age. They explained that they couldn’t serve as they didn’t look old enough, one was 23 and the other 26 We tried showing them multiple times their social media with the age on it. I’ve never been anywhere that refused 2 people for not looking old enough. If you do visit here make sure you carry your ID and birth certificate so that you can get a drink. The waffle was very good though."

A fabulous Boxing Day meal with our family group. Despite it being busy we ordered lunch and it didn’t take long before our food arrived. Every meal was well presented and delicious. Great service too. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic meal at a charming, traditional village pub. We were amused by the friendly bartenders, Sam and Tom, who provided great entertainment. We were visiting on a caravan holiday and will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience. View menu

After a great walk up Parlick and Fairsnape we popped in for some drinks. The children had some lunch, great size portions £6.50 and lots of choice. Homemade cooked fresh food, all 8 children demolished their plates. Some friends ordered off the main menu and their food looked yum! Will definitely return and would totally recommend.

I visited a charming, historical pub for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic experience. They offer a great variety of beers and wines to pair with their delicious food. The roast beef was excellent, served in generous portions with a variety of vegetables. For dessert, I had syrup sponge and custard which was delightful. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place. View menu

Fantastic traditional pub. The way a boozer should be! Made welcome after a long walk by everyone, bar staff, locals, the 80 year old local that had heard of where we were staying, the couple that made the gorgeous pies on the menu, everyone. The beer was in good nick, the food was good honest pub food done well (ex head chef here) and reasonably priced, good value for money. Large beer garden too. Perfect.

We often visit this restaurant on Fridays for their delicious pizzas, which never disappoint. Today we had family visiting and decided to try their Sunday lunch at the recommendation of Sam. We were all pleased with our meals, which were generous in portion size. The staff, especially Billy, were accommodating to those of us who wanted substitutions on our dishes. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be returning for lunch again.

"I wasn't at blueberries with my friends since before covid so it was great to kick through the door and see how busy it is, fortunately I had a table for lunch. there is nothing special vegan on the menu, but they try to place their very hardest, in contrast to some places. I love a jacket kartoffel and choose her beats with various items from the menu, so ordered frying and avocado. katherine, one of the owners and cook came on our table and said she could suggest some other dishes and also vegan cheese if I did not the jacket kartoffel, but if I still did how about the topping of sonbs. what a nice geste and I will visit her on her offer of other options at the next. I noticed that they were able to offer vegan options for their Christmas card and also had two vegan, frozen meals to take away, moussaka and chili. my friends ordered a chicken and specksalat and a fish and chips and both said that eating was delicious with a mention that the chips were the best. my kartoffel was huge, with a lot of topping, served with beautiful salat and quickly grinded. the food is made fresh to order and blueberries is very popular as full it was on a cold Wednesday afternoon. there is also a small marquee on the side of the blueberries, which for those who are brave and sitting the weather and of course adds extra space. I really can't knock blueberries, they may not have vegan options (although a cake would be nice and I need to ask if they have plant milk as I always have my own. but they will always try to eat rusty something satisfying and with announcing can something like a vegan hotpot that I had before, what was brilliant."
